Weekend Caption Contest™ Winners

This week’s Weekend Caption Contest™ was all over the map, but in a good way. There were as many angles as there were entries. Some when political, others went with race car driving or immigration, but by and large no one went wrong. A very strong slate of entries made judging hard, but that’s why they don’t pay me any big bucks to do the judging. The assignment this week was to caption the following picture:

Here are the winning entries:

1) (Pretzel_Logic) – “Dennis Kucinich arrives in Iowa this week in his new hybrid.

2) (Son Of The Godfather) – “Sometimes, when Mary Kay nags, Vili Fualaau just has to get out of the house.

3) (fustian) – “This kid drives just like democrats govern. Stuck in the past, with no one looking to the future.

4) (guido) – “From his Chevy Suburban, in the background at the next intersection, Al Gore is pleased to see yet another driver heeding his heroic call to save the planet.

5) (Baron Von Ottomatic) – “Perhaps DEI dug a wee bit too deep into their developmental driver pool for Junior’s replacement.

6) (TheDelawarian) – “This line of cars meeting the new Federally mandated mileage standards even comes in a ‘sport’ model.’

The Readers Choice Award this week went to goes to Pretzel_Logic’s winning entry. Instead of highlighting another highly ranked entry, this week I’ve picked on caption that’s dedicated to anyone who has a child who wakes up at 5AM to watch a certain movie before heading off to school everyday; not that I’d know anything about that…:

(Tom Blogical) – “Okay, here we go. Focus. Speed. I am speed. One winner, forty-two losers. I eat losers for breakfast. Breakfast? Maybe I should have had breakfast? Brekkie could be good for me. No, no, no, focus. Speed. Faster than fast, quicker than quick. I am Lightning.”

That’s it for this week. A new edition of the Wizbang Weekend Caption Contest™ will debut Friday morning.
