This weeks Weekend Caption Contest™ went for the obvious… Even still I was surprised by the variety in the entries. Rodney nearly won with a late Sunday entry of, “Last time we went huntin’ together, Cheney missed me by this much,” but in the end I enjoyed the Cheney schlong gag better. The assignment this week was to caption the following picture:

    I still think he’s indicating the international symbol for gherkin, Aaron.

    You know what is really fun about this contest? It’s the variety of entries, and the fact that none are really vile, hateful, and totally disgusting – like you sees from entries posted over at Daily Kos.

    Had this one been just a couple of days later, I could see the winner being: And Cheney said “Missed him by that much!” mimicking Don Adams!

    I have a 5 year old and a 9 month old…so yes, I do watch entirely too much Noggin. But that was just begging to be done. I can see Bush leading his cabinet in the Cookie Monster song every day before discusing Iraq. ha.

    jab at the President’s mother and father, respectively, was good enough for an
    “honorable mention”–
    but maybe next time.
