Jon Henke at Q and O has a good review of right wing blogs running now, to go with his earlier review of left wing blogs. If you’re new to blogs, or just looking for a few new reads it’s a good place to start.
Here’s how he describes Wizbang:
[Y]ou know how you and your friends used to get into wandering, but interesting, all-night conversations about every subject imaginable — school, politics, jokes, sports, news, girls, philosophy, etc — in your younger days? Well, they’re blogging at Wizbang now.
Sounds about right to me…
Don’t you know you are supposed to obsess about politics 24/7/365?
Isn’t this part of your appeal?
Hmm… I dunno if this is an insult or a compliment.
Kevin, I think you, Paul, and I should have a conference call to discuss it.
It could take all night.

It’s a compliment, guys. It’s very rare that a blog can pull off widely disparate topics without completely losing its identity. You guys manage to do it very well, and I read Wizbang at least a couple times a day.
Jon, I was kidding. I was playing off your “all-night conversations” bit. I took it as the compliment you intended.

Well, apparently, I’m the kinda slow guy who never quite gets the jokes; the guy everybody makes fun of after they send him to the 7-11 to buy beer. (on his dime)
All I want to know: did anybody bring a deck of cards?
I actually bookmarked a four of the “liberal” blogs to read regularly. DU, Atrios and Kos isn’t for me, and neither is Free Republic. Nice to see that there’s more than hot air blowing through the “leftist” and “rightist” blogs. On occasion.
“Anybody seen Steel Magnolias? I was bawling!”
Like I wrote earlier, how about the BEST BLOG WITH SKILLS…
Right after FASTEST CLIMBER OF ROPE IN GYM.
P.S.: To anyone who ~may have missed the fevered issue to which I refer here~, I am carrying on as to Blog Category ideas from Kevin A.’s earlier thread about the 2005 Weblog Awards.
Anyone been to the Winchester recently?
