The Victory Coalition

As you may be aware Michele Catalano had formed a coalition of blogs aiming to generate more donations to the Spirit of America project than Dean Esmay and John from Argghhh!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Michele has had to drop out of the group leadership role, but she asked me to take the helm and continue the crusade. I gladly accepted, and in her honor, christened the coalition of powerhouse blogs:

The Victory Coalition

To be fair I’m releasing all blogs previously committed to Michele from their commitments. It’s worth noting that Michele remains in The Victory Coalition, and I’m sure she will urge the existing team members to stay onboard.

Want To Join?

It’s easy. Send a trackback to this post, or leave your commitment in the comment section. You will receive an e-mail link can find everything you need to link to the special Victory Coalition contribution page at Spirit Of America below. You will be added to the The Victory Coalition blogroll (which will be prominently displayed here and at other members sites) and find the code to add The Victory Coalition blogroll to your blog below. Direct your readers to the special contribution page and watch out total contributions grow here.

What Do I Have To Do?

To join The Victory Coalition, you must run a weblog, and try to post at least one message per day to your readers to encourage them to contribute to Spirit of America. Contest ends next Thursday. Let’s see how much we can raise to support our troops’ efforts to help people in Afghanistan, Iraq, and everywhere else they need our help!

If you want to join one of the three coalitions, just drop a note to Dean Esmay, John Donovan, or myself. If you want to start your own coalition, or raise money solo, just click here to sign up. Remember you only need to register at Spirit of America if you want to form your own coalition or raise money on your own. All donations made via The Victory Coalition page at Spirit of America will be counted towards our total regardless of how the donor got there or who referred them.

The donation pages are now active for all teams, but according to Dean, the the competition starts starts at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday morning and runs until a week from Thursday (April 28th). Give generously, just start on Wednesday!!! To donate click on The Victory Coalition logo above or here.

Victory Code Tools:

This is the spot to get all of the tools and code you’ll need to promote the winning team – The Victory Coalition, of course, not those other so-called teams…

First you can add The Victory Coalition blogroll to your site, by pasting the following code into your template:

<script language=”javascript” type=”text/javascript” src=””></script>

Next you can add a text link to The Victory Coalition donation page by adding this URL to all of your posts or to your blog sidebar:

To really be one of the cool kids, grab the graphic above and save it to your images directory and use the following code to show and link to the donation page (change the YOURSERVER to your server).

<div align=”center”><a href=””><img alt=”The Victory Coalition” src=”” width=”450″ height=”134″ border=”0″ /></a></div>

Note: The graphic and code have been updated to avoid confusion with Warren Ellis.
