More Thoughts On The Link Cosmos

I was thinking about who might make use of the Link Cosmos code from yesterday (aside from the highly intelligent folks already using it). It occurs to me that sites with massive traffic and no comments or trackbacks would be doing their readers a real service by showing Link Cosmos for their posts.

One of the comments on the original post was that having a Link Cosmos link might just be to depressing for most bloggers (i.e. finding that no one had linked a story). While that may be the case, the opposite is true as well. Wouldn’t it be handy to see everyone who linked to a InstaPundit, Volokh Conspiracy, CalPundit, DailyKos etc. post? I think it would. Here’s an example of how it would work.

Now isn’t that a cool way to find blogs that address the post in question? I think it is. The best part is that it is no extra work for the blogger. It’s just a service to their readers provided by Technorati, that they have thoughtfully expedited.

Readers: Ask for your Link Cosmos!
