…That John S. McCain is an out of touch RINO, we have these two stories:
McCain says a ‘much more centrist’ Obama ‘much’ easier to work with
By Daniel Strauss – 02/03/11 02:42 PM ETThe president has become more centrist, which makes him easier to work with, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Thursday.
Speaking
with Bloomberg Television a day after a private meeting with President
Obama, McCain said he could picture working with Obama on several issues going forward.“I think there’s a number of issues we could work on together, and I
think it’s pretty clear that the president has really pivoted to a much
more centrist position, which I think makes it much more for us easier to
work with him,” McCain said.
Which is perfectly offset by this poll from Gallup:
Obama’s Approval Ratings More Polarized in Year 2 Than Year 1
Ranks as fourth-most-polarized year for a president since 1953
by Jeffrey M. JonesPRINCETON, NJ — President Barack Obama’s job approval ratings were even more polarized during his second year in office than during his first, when he registered the most polarized ratings for a first-year president. An average of 81% of Democrats and 13% of Republicans approved of the job Obama was doing as president during his second year. That 68-point gap in party ratings is up from 65 points in his first year and is easily the most polarized second year for a president since Dwight Eisenhower.
We thank you for your service, John McCain, and wish you the very best in your retirement from public life which should have started last month.
