The extraordinarily cold start to the winter throughout the nation and much of the entire Northern Hemisphere has left some of the biggest trumpeters of the global warming farce little choice but to actually cover the growing story. Usually, cold outbreaks during the winter cover only a region of the country, but the recent chill has been virtually nationwide. Noontime temperatures on Tuesday hovered in the mid-40s from Tampa across the Gulf Coast all the way to San Antonio. Snow is in the forecast in some parts of Florida later in the week. Virtually every reporting station east of the Mississippi has reported temperatures 15 to 25 degrees below normal this past week and little warming is expected anytime soon.
AccuWeather.com Chief Meteorologist and Expert Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi says he believes the next few months are looking very much like a repeat of the infamous winter of 1977-78 that sunk much of the nation into deep freezes for weeks at a time. “It’ll be like the great winters of the ’60s and ’70s,” said Bastardi whose employer aggressively pushes the global warming agenda on their website.
It has been most interesting (and mildly entertaining) to see the mainstream media try to ignore the weather. That may be a lot harder to do this winter… and the televised coverage of fans huddled with ear muffs at the Orange Bowl in Miami last night certainly didn’t help.
