Spoons February 11, 2006 “How can you “fail to complete a breathalizer test”….what she was too drunk to breath?” Breathalyzer machines require a relatively substantial volume of air to work. It’s quite common for suspects/defendants to give “insufficient sample” on one or more attempts. This almost always happens because people are deliberately holding back, thinking if they blow less, their results will be lower. That’s not the way it works, but you can’t fight stupidty. Only people with SEVERE respiratory problems REALLY can’t provide sufficient samples. Basically, if you can blow up an ordinary baloon, you can take a breathalyzer. epador February 11, 2006 I’d say a twelve step program rather than twelve steps to the cooler might be what’s really in order.
