Aruban police arrested Paul van der Sloot, a judge in training on the Dutch Caribbean island, who is the father of one of the three teens last seen with Natalee Holloway. The elder van der Sloot joins his son Joran van der Sloot, 17; Deepak Kalpoe, 21, Satish Kalpoe, 18; and party boat DJ Steve Gregory Croes, 26, as those who have been arrested in the May 30 disappearance of the Alabama teenager.
Mariaine Croes, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Caren Janssen, told CNN: “There is a reasonable suspicion that he knows something and is involved in the disappearance.”
Paul van der Sloot was questioned previously, though at that time he was not considered a suspect. With 5 different individuals held, assuming that some or all of them were involved in Holloway’s disappearance, it’s probably just a matter of time until one of them turns on the rest and cuts a deal.
