Man was not meant to work 50+ hours a week, 6-7 days a week. On top of a half hour each way commute. At least this man wasn’t.
I’m just now leaving work after putting in 9 hours on my day off. I’ve gotta be back here by 8:30. And my next day off is slated to be next Sunday.
Accordingly, my postings might be a tad diminished for the next few days, until the Warden gives me a break from the rockpile.
To those upset by this, my apologies. To those upset that my decreased frequency won’t be permanent, my even more sincere apologies.
J.

I sympathize. I’m working 10 hour days, 6 days a week until May, with a 45 minute commute. That just takes a lot out of a person, but it really makes you appreciate time off.
Jesus still loves you! I love reading your blog, and I will keep praying for you.
Sounds like you’ve got a major problem bub. No one likes stinky feet.
If your nose runs and your feet smell, you’re built upside down.
That’s OK, Jay. Jesus still loves you. And so do we.
It could be worse…
How, you ask? Try me!
==Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o’clock at night,
half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump
of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill
owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home,
our Dad would kill us, and dance about on our graves
singing “Hallelujah.”==
Well, I don’t have it quite that rough…
Any man who quotes Jimmy Buffet songs for headlines has to be a fine upstanding human being.
Jay, I’m thinking you need yoga…..;-)
Welcome to my world… but y’know, after two years of uneven employment, I am OVERJOYED I can work as many hours INDOORS as I want!
Just remember, if it sucks to work 60 hours a week, it sucks worse to work 0 hours a week.
Oh, and the song reference…. it’s not Jimmy Buffett, is it? It’s… oh hell what do these kids listen to these days…? Loudon Wainwright? Blast!
Oh, McGehee, you owe me a new keyboard, dry cleaning for my silk pajama top and another latté !
