Dem uses Pearl Harbor to slam GOP
Washington, DC, Dec. 7 (UPI) — The remembrance of Japan’s 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor took on partisan political spin Tuesday with a Democrat leader using it to attack House Republicans.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, in a special Pearl Harbor Day statement, said national unity 63 years ago enabled Americans to go forward and defeat the country’s enemies, but the same kind of unity needed now was being undermined by Republican disagreements over provisions of the yet-to-be-voted on intelligence reform bill.
“While we as a nation are united in this fight, there are clearly deep divisions within the Republican Party, divisions that are impeding our fight against terrorism,” he said.
“Moving forward, it is my sincere hope that the Republicans running Washington will stop playing their political games and start fighting for the American people, just as our honored veterans did 63 years ago.”
So much irony, so little time…
This from the same party who, after they got their hats handed to them in 2002, came out publicly and said the reason they lost is that they were supporting Republicans too much after 9/11 and that they, AS A POLITICAL STRATEGY had decided to oppose the war in Iraq.
Not to mention DUH! it is just blindingly moronic to say “Those stupid republicans aren’t bringing us together.”
This from the people who for over a year used any bad news we had in Iraq for political gain.

I think there’s a doctoral thesis there: “Was Terry McAuliffe a GOP plant all along?” Look at the track record, look at his wild string of gaffes. Has anybody visited more destruction on the Democratic Party?
I’m constantly amazed at the Democrats’ ability to call Republicans “divisive” while simultaneously insulting Republicans in the most base terms. It’s as if they think only SOME of their words get out to the public.

The Punk has pulled gaffes worthy of former VP J. Danforth Quayle, and even several beyond that, and yet he doesn’t get laughed at by the media; rather, he is taken quite seriously. He needs to disappear just as badly as the Clintons who put him in there.
And by disappear, I mean politically, not physically.
McAuliffe has a medical condition: Rectal-cranial inversion. Fortunately for us there is no cure.
Statements like this one from McAwful just go to reinforce the theory that Democrats are living in a parallel universe completely devoid of reason or irony.
The last I checked, isn’t it the Democrats that are impeding the War on Terror? Isn’t it the liberal media that is constantly painting the war as “another Vietnam?”

I’ve referred to him as Terry “GOP Mole” McAuliffe for years; he’s one of the best things to happen to our party in the last decade. These statements, made the very same day that the GOP Congressional leadership reached agreement on the Intel Bill are merely a minor example of why.
They all have a case of “foot in mouth” disease (the DLC on Annan, Democrat Senate Leader on Clarence Thomas, etc. etc. etc.).McAuliffe comes off looking silly every time he makes one of his wild-eyed comments. Dems, keep him on board, PUHLEEZE!
