The Washington Post spends a long day in the life of Subway guy Jared. It’s actually a pretty interesting story. Notable facts:
If he gains weight he’s out of a job.
He’s contractually not allowed to go to ANY fast food besides Subway.
He travels A LOT.
He’ll be hitting the lecture circuit soon.
He is always subject to using up his 15 minutes of fame, so he’s enjoying the ride as long as it lasts.
He’ll be hitting the lecture circuit soon.
Expect motivational books and similar Jared merchandise soon.
He may be a schlep, but he’s a wealthy schlep…

Am I the only one who finds Jared annoying on some visceral, personal level that I can’t define. I have this feeling that ten minutes of his presence would cause me to fly into an uncontrollable rage–that I would pelt him with fast food and tell him to go straight to deep-fried, fat-laden hell.
It might just be me, though.
Yes, Kevin, that’s all fine, but what we really want to know is: Will Jared be hitting the lecture circuit anytime soon?
Heh.
