A while ago, I bought an old end table at a thrift store. The first thing I did was pull out the old newspaper that had been used as a liner. But before I threw it out, though, I took a look at it. It was from 1943, and it had one story that leaped out at me. It’s amazing how things never change…

Sounds fabricated.
Isn’t “Shangri-La” what’s now called Camp David, having been named by Ike afterhis son?
Oh, and by the way, “sounds fabricated” – it’s filed under “Satire” so …
But my “Sangri-La” question still stands.
Thats funny stuff.. wish it wasn’t satire.
I really think you need to bold “Satire” when you file it under that one, maybe the dimwits will be more likely to notice.
Yep, Shangri-La and Camp David are the same place:

David was his grandson. Married Julie Nixon.
Honestly you could bold, underline, and italicize the word SATIRE, you could even make it flash in big letters over the article while playing a “wav” that yells, THIS IS FICTION, but they would still not get the picture.
