You’ve probably heard of the death of former Arizona Cardinal saftey Pat Tillman in a firefight in southeastern Afghanistan. Tillman’s 75th Ranger Regiment was involved in Operation Mountain Storm in southeastern Afghanistan, part of the U.S. campaign against fighters of the al-Qaida terror network and the former Taliban government along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
In an era where we attribute honor and valor to athletes, Tillman was a throwback to the athletes of the 1940’s who served there nation. Charles Barkley said, “I am not a role model”, but I’m certain those words never crossed the lips of Pat Tillman. He was a role model without trying.
Godspeed Pat, you will be missed.

What can motivate anyone to assail his patriotism is beyond me. He is the shining example of everyman and everywoman who defends the dream, and inspires me to keep on keepin’ on.
If Tillman got “what he deserved,” I can only imagine what the moonbats at Indymedia will be getting.
