Well I’m sure I’ll tick off more than a few Palin supporters with this post, but believe you me, I’m just as aggravated that Palin took this stance, forcing me to be critical of her for the first time ever. Sticking up for her new homeboy Newt Gingrich, Palin said in an interview that Chris Christie was upset by Romney’s loss, got his panties in a wad, and fell into a media trap in which he said that Gingrich was an embarrassment to the party.
Unfortunately for Palin, she played right into the media’s hands with her comments. As the New York Daily News notes, Palin fails completely to see the irony in any of her critique of Christie:
“Sometimes if your candidate loses … you kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later,” Palin said Monday — without any hint of irony — on the Fox Business Network. “And I think that’s what Chris Christie did.”
She went on to complain that Christie, by calling Gingrich an embarrassment, has given the left fodder for future ads that they could use against him should he become the nominee. Please. Nothing compares to the content rich ads that the left would have against Romney thanks to Gingrich and Perry’s left-wing attacks of his time at Bain Capital.
Can anyone say circular firing squad?
You can see my complete rant on this subject at my personal blog which is no doubt about to be ransacked by Palinista’s.
