Recently, I accidentally hit the button on my radio and discovered a new (well, new to me) radio station. I LIKED this station, and I’m not a big fan of music stations. They had a LOT of good artists, bands I’ve been fond of for some time. The Cars, Queen, Springsteen, Mellencamp (when he was still John Cougar Mellencamp), REO Speedwagon, The Police, (safe-driving) Billy Joel, Chicago (with Peter Cetera), Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Heart, and so on. I was delighted — right up until the DJ did his station break.
“You’re listening to The Mill — WMLL, 96.5 FM — Manchester’s Classic Rock station.”
The songs of my youth — the music I love — is now considered “classic rock.”
Bartender, gimme a Geritol, straight up, with a Metamucil chaser.
