Messing With Templates

March 18, 2004 Site News 5 Comments

I’ve been messing with the templates this evening to enhance your browsing and commenting experience here at Wizbang. All comment screens now have buttons for adding HTML formatting and links. The category archives now show excerpts instead of full posts (for faster page loading). Also, I’ve added a category link to each post.

That’s enough tweaking for tonight. Let me know if there’s anything else you think I should add…

Update: Comment subscriptions have been added.

How about email subscription to post comments?

I am not getting the buttons on Mozilla Firefox, but I am getting them on IE.

Rodney, using Firefox, I do not get the buttons on my MT Main Menu (where I write, edit, manage my blog). I searched, and found a work-around, but it seemed too techie for me.

I guess it is okay to test and promote my blog here.

Seems to work fine in preview.

It’s easy enough to enter the HTML manually for now, until I figure out how to allow it with Firefox.

Jim – good idea. I’ll look into it at ScriptyGoddess.

As to the Firefox button issue: Normal HTML code can be entered manually, which is how I do it in comments anyway…
