I know Kate hurt her back, but it’s been a week since anyone has heard from her.
Some of her friends, including me, are getting a touch worried.
Update: I just got off the phone with Kate, and she’s doing well. A storm knocked her off the Internet for a while and her back is getting better. Nothing to worry about.

Me too, with that nasty flu going around.
Time to start a candlelight vigil, yet?
I’m calling her again today, as soon as it’s a decent hour in Hawai’i. I hope to have some news to report. I’ll let you know if/when I hear from her!
Glad to hear that!
Heh – Kevin, we called within minutes of each other. Great minds and all…
Wish I could post this at my site, but I’m unable to get into my MT editing menu. (It keeps kicking me back to the log-in screen. Weird.)
As I told Kelley and Kevin yesterday, I fell off a ladder while hanging garland from my loft and did a perfect 3-point landing on my head, lower back and tailbone. Wound up with a concussion and a couple of strained ligaments along my spine, plus I injured my tailbone, exacerbating an old injury I’d incurred years ago when rock-climbing. Thanks to lots of physical therapy and drugs (lots of drugs), I’m doing much, much better.
But I still need to take it easy on my back and can’t do much sitting. Since this is coinciding with family coming for the holidays and being unable to connect to the internet until yesterday, I’ve decided to take a couple of weeks off. I’ll be back at or around the New Year.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone for caring. Hearing from Kelley and Kevin just made my day – it’s wonderful knowing that we bloggers really are making friends on the internet!
So, Merry Christmas to all and I’ll look forward to “seeing” you online again soon!
