Democrats have been fighting Donald Trump to keep the borders open. They claim to want border security but in the form of technology instead of a wall, because they say walls are immoral. Well, except the walls that surround their homes.
It’s in the Democrats’ best interest to keep the borders open. The more illegals they can manage to get into the country, the more potential voters they can harvest. In the 2016 election, the majority of white women and white men voted for the Republicans. If all the Democrats can muster for voters is minorities, they’ll lose, especially with their big push for socialism, a push that will alienate the majority of middle America, which is primarily white voters.
But the Democrats are not going to let middle America get in the way of their socialist utopia. Democrat localities all over the country are now allowing illegal aliens to vote in local elections, and not just in Leftyland cities like San Francisco and Chicago but in smaller cities such as College Park, Maryland.
Republicans have rightly condemned this. Foreigners who sneak over the border or over stay their visas and should not be in the country at all have no right to determine the direction our country takes in any way. However, the Democrats can’t get these folks voting rights quick enough.
House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice.
The vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber — then under GOP control — voted to decry illegal immigrant voting.
“We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,” Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure.
Today’s Democrats, more than Democrats in the past, want to open up the political process to illegals. It seems they don’t like the current voters so they’re trying to import new ones, voters who they think will vote for their give away socialist programs:
“It sounds like I’m making it up. What kind of government would cancel the vote of its own citizens, and replace it with noncitizens?” said Rep. Dan Crenshaw, Texas Republican.
He pointed to last year’s vote, when 49 Democrats joined the GOP to decry noncitizen voting.
On Friday just six Democrats voted in favor.
In 1996 Congress passed a law preventing non-citizens from voting in federal elections. You can expect that today’s vote is the first step in an effort in to overturn that law. By normalizing illegals voting in local elections, they can begin to get Americans used to what was unthinkable just a few years ago: non-citizens voting in federal elections.
