Missing from our drama since 2017 has been George Papadopoulos. Seems that his utility to the Special Counsel has expired, and he is once again in play.
By sundance, the Conservative Treehouse
On January 27th, 2017, after over a year of covert surveillance on Trump campaign officials [via FISA searches, FISA(702) Title-1 surveilance, SIGNIT and HUMIT), the FBI first sat down to interview low level campaign aide George Papadopoulos. (likely FBI Special Agent Jennifer Zelski Edwards, and/or FBI Agent Peter Strzok, participated)
Six months later, July 27th, 2017 the FBI arrested George Papadopoulos at the airport and charged him with giving false information to FBI investigators during that interview. The very next day, July 28th, 2017, the DOJ filed a motion to seal with the DC federal court to hide the arrest. (FBI Agent Jennifer Zelski Edwards)
It appears he was accused of lying to the FBI and offered a plea bargain which he accepted, becoming “proactive cooperator” which can be read is active informant or spy. That is former Director and former U. S. Attorney Mueller’s preferred tool for cementing conspiracy cases. Papadopoulos’ actual cooperation seems to have ended approximately two months later. One imagines his absence from the scene since then was at the strong encouragement of the Special Counsel.
This establishes as a fact that the FBI was operating a “proactive cooperator” / informant / spy against the President of the United States for two months.
It seems almost certain the objective of Mueller’s final investigative report will be to present a political case for impeachment to congress. Democrats are looking for a reason, and many Republicans are looking for an excuse. The aggregate UniParty goal is removal of the existential threat represented by President Trump. Mueller’s anticipated report can predictably be forecast as a means to that end.
Indeed, it does. Which explains why Mueller and Rosenstein are keeping the complete text of the scope of authorization of the investigation closely held.
Daylight is not the friend of Mueller nor Rosenstein.
Meuller restarted proceedings to complete sentencing of Papadopoulos on May 23rd of this year. And now, two weeks later, he’s starting to tell his tale via his wife.
