FBI and DoJ Burn Source Who Was Too Sensitive To Reveal To Congressional Oversight

And of course they did so via Pravda West, which I shall not link to.

F.B.I. Used Informant to Investigate Russia Ties to Campaign, Not to Spy, as Trump Claims

President Trump accused the F.B.I., without evidence, of planting a mole inside his campaign to undermine his presidential run. But the F.B.I. in fact dispatched a confidential informant to meet with Trump campaign advisers as it began its investigation into possible links between his campaign and Russia.

WASHINGTON — President Trump accused the F.B.I. on Friday, without evidence, of sending a spy to secretly infiltrate his 2016 campaign “for political purposes” even before the bureau had any inkling of the “phony Russia hoax.”

In fact, F.B.I. agents sent an informant to talk to two campaign advisers only after they received evidence that the pair had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign. The informant, an American academic who teaches in Britain, made contact late that summer with one campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, according to people familiar with the matter. He also met repeatedly in the ensuing months with the other aide, Carter Page, who was also under F.B.I. scrutiny for his ties to Russia.

The role of the informant is at the heart of the newest battle between top law enforcement officials and Mr. Trump’s congressional allies over the F.B.I.’s most politically charged investigations in decades. The lawmakers, who say they are concerned that federal investigators are abusing their authority, have demanded documents from the Justice Department about the informant.

The article goes on to further cement Stefan Halper as the FBI operative in question without quite actually naming him.

  1.  Stefan Halper was a CIA operative, operating at DCI Brennan’s direction.
  2.  Stefan Halper did indeed collect intelligence on the Trump Campaign, but was primarily acting as an agent provocateur.
  3.  The connections Stefan Halper encouraged and facilitated Trump Campaign operatives to make with Russian sources was then used by the FBI to open their Counter Intelligence Investigation into the Trump Campaign.

Corrupt Intelligence Apparatchik Leaks “Informant” Name (Stefan Halper) and Defensive Perspective To New York Times…

By sundance, the Conservative Tree House

The New York Times has essentially outed the CIA and FBI informant as Stefan Halper tonight in yet another lengthy justification article citing the reasoning from the perspective of the corrupt intelligence officers who conducted the surveillance and spying operation against the Trump campaign.

Guess what?…. After 18 months of denials, their justification framework isn’t selling.  It isn’t selling even amid the barking moonbats who normally defend the left-wing crazy.  If you want to gauge the level of fail, just read the comments section of the New York Times justification article.   D’oh… the awakening is here like a DNC party during the ALS ice-bucket challenge.

According to The Times, the FBI and CIA were using Halper to protect candidate Trump from the Russians.  Yes, that’s their story and they’re sticking to it.  However, from that angle: Are they currently investigating candidate Trump for failing to collude in the Russian efforts they were attempting to protect him from?  {{{D’oh}}}  Yup, the special counsel is an ongoing effort to keep protecting President Trump… or something.

Wait,… what?.. Huh?

U. S. Attorney Huber and his staff have a lot of work ahead of them.

In related news, Senator John Warner (ranking dhimmocrat/Vice Chairman) of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has stated that he doesn’t think the DoJ/FBI should be overseen by his committee on this matter.  I think a member of an oversight committee who advocates not overseeing an organization under their oversight has not business on that oversight committee.  I encourage everyone to write to their Senators demanding action on this dereliction of duty.
