The New Years edition of the Weekend Caption Contest™ was another smashing success. I needed to get right with my resolution to be more prompt in judging, so I’m clearing the deck of contest that need results before the new contest debuts Friday morning. The assignment last week was to caption the following picture:
Here are the winning entries:
1) (yetanotherjohn) – “Notice there is no black confetti … Racism”
2) (fustian24) – “This is how it works in government. 50 people managing, one guy doing all the work.”
3) (Rodney Dill) – “Wow, Huggy Bear’s still looking pretty good.”
4) (sarahconnor2) – “All the police present later insisted they never saw the guy stuff a drunk De Blasio in the garbage bag.”
5) (yetanotherjoh) – “In a metaphor for Obama’s administration, one moment of excitement followed by hours of cleaning up the mess.”
6) (FormerlyAnonymous) – “Being a non-union city employee, John actually did have to work.”
The Readers Choice Award goes to:
(fustian24) – “In a rational world, this is Obama’s job.”
That’s it for last week. A new edition of the contest will debut Friday morning.
