As always, Elizabeth Scalia (aka The Anchoress) has thoughts worth reading on the Chick-Fil-A scandal: “If You’re Not Sure, This Is How Fascism Works.” Her argument is multi-faceted, but mainly focuses on a subject I covered here a few days ago, which is that Chick-Fil-A president Don Cathy never mentioned “gays” or “gay marriage” during the recent newspaper interview that ignited the current controversy.  Of course that didn’t stop the press from misquoting, phantom-quoting, misattributing, and editorializing about the company’s “anti-gay” stance, and then attributing their own opinions Cathy and to the entire Chick-Fil-A franchise.
