Chris Matthews: Obama’s Smile Is Worth Five Or Ten Points In The General Election

Chris Matthews is the epitome of an “in the tank media figure.” Who could ever forget his comments during the 2008 election that forever labeled him  with the nickname tingles? Commenting about Obama’s interview with Matt Lauer before the Super Bowl, Matthews said that Obama’s smile was worth five or ten points in the general.

Chris Matthews’ open fondness of Barack Obama ads another layer to the term bromance.

As Stu pointed out during Glenn Beck‘s program this morning, Matthews comments are probably accurate solely because so called journalists like Chris Matthews have failed to do their jobs when it comes to scrutinizing and reporting on Obama while he was a Senator, candidate, and now President.
