From stunned MilBlogger and University of Nebraska Alum Army Wife Toddler Mom: Unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, who stands upon the flag that Obama wouldn’t wear until it proved an electoral convenience, has been invited to deliver the keynote address at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Education and Human Sciences. If this is old news, I sure missed it.

Thursday, Oct 16, 2008 – 12:24:33 pm CDTWilliam Ayers, a founder of an organization that bombed public buildings in protest against the Vietnam War, has been invited to speak at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln next month.
Ayers is scheduled to deliver a keynote address Nov. 15 during a weekend celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the founding of UNL’s Teachers College, now called the College of Education and Human Sciences.
Ayers is a respected education reformer, dontcha know. Hugo Chavez even gave him an award. Says my friend AWTM:
My Husband is Alumni from UNL, I too attended UNL for 2 1/2 years.
I will say this, the foundation, had better think twice, about calling this house and asking for any sort of financial support.

She notes that, as an Army family, the Alumni organization should not bother calling. Their money “is from the Department of Defense, I do not think you want it… “
I don’t think they deserve it. They sure don’t deserve tuition from me when my children attend college. But that is a long, glorious list nowadays. Add Nebraska.

Splendid observation. And since the flag is so revered by the commenter, note that Obama’s friend Bill Ayers stood upon it for his New York Times photo.
For the record, Paul, Senator McCain never made a point about not needing to wear a flag pin to display patriotism.
The man can’t lift his arms above his shoulders because he was hung from the ceiling by his wrists behind his back.
He can’t take that stand (or hang) back. Obama could and did.
