Hillary's Got a lot of Gall

Hillary Clinton has an amazing amount of gall. Here she is trailing Barack Obama in delegates and the popular vote, yet she has the gall to say that he’d make a great vice president for her. She’s banking that most Americans aren’t paying enough attention to the primary to know that she is actually losing to Obama right now. Obama, however, did an effective job ridiculing her comments:

“I’ve won more of the popular vote than Senator Clinton,” Obama went on. “I have more delegates than Senator Clinton. So, I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place is offering the vice presidency to somebody who’s in first place.”

Hillary doesn’t care how ridiculous she looks or what the pundits or the media think of her. She only cares about bamboozling as many people as possible for long enough to get the nomination. In fact, as Right Pundits notes, Hillary is going to try to get Obama’s pledged delegates to switch to her.

A couple of weeks ago or so, Fox and Friends had two political strategists on, one Democrat and one Republican. They both speculated that in the end, Hillary will bow out gracefully when it becomes obvious that she has lost the primary. They are flat wrong. Hillary Clinton doesn’t know the meaning of grace or bowing out. She will do anything to win this nomination, including subverting the will of Democratic primary voters. She has a scorched earth mentality when it comes to gaining political power, and if she has to destroy the Democratic party to gain power, she will do just that.
