The Charm City Massacre

Just when you thought you’d seen everything there was to see in baseball the Baltimore Orioles bullpen had a special treat in store for the stout-hearted, NattyBo drinking, Eskay hotdog eating natives at Camden Yards. The O’s set the modern era (post 1900) record for futility in a single game; a 30-3 drubbing at the hands of the Texas Rangers.

You can get a full dose of all the scoring and factiods about the game at ESPN. In a cruel twist of irony it was the first game of a doubleheader. Texas won game 2, 9-7.
