Weekend Caption Contest™ Winners

This week’s Weekend Caption Contest™ was as topical as the nightly news. Thankfully the voters this week made the winnowing process much easier as you judge agreed with nearly all your choices. Though I like to include as many different winners as possible, this week is one of those weeks where one person just gets on a roll and can’t be stopped. It won’t be too hard to figure out who that was by looking at the winners below…

The assignment this week was to caption the following picture:

A woman selling Chinese made toys waits for customers at a shopping center in Beijing. A Fisher-Price recall of nearly one million Chinese-made toys, the latest in a series of similar scandals, is ratcheting up already high American resentment against the offshoring of jobs.(AFP/Teh Eng Koon)

Here are the winning entries:

1) (fustian) – “The Pentagon war room under Dennis Kucinich.

2) (rodney dill) – “No Elmo, but we do have Ermo.

3) (fustian) – “You know it’s not Hillary’s bedroom. Hers is covered with the shrunken heads of defeated enemies.

Honorable Mention

4) (SideShowJane) – “News Flash:

Chinese Minister of Toys and Games, Mi Kno Fun, has just been executed for subverting the welfare of the People’s entertainment.”

5) (fustian) – “I see that CBS has let Katie Couric redesign the Evening News set.

6) (Shelby) – “9/11 Truthers gather experts for congressional testimony.

The Readers Choice Award this week goes to:

(Swanny) – “President Obama’s hand picked Invasion Czar addresses her troops before they unleash heck on Pakistan.

A new edition of the Wizbang Weekend Caption Contest™ will debut Friday morning.
