I usually don’t write about my family, but I thought I’d make an exception today and wish my Little Man a happy fourth birthday. Yep, four years ago today I was in the hospital laboring away to bring my first child into the world. The momentous occasion was marked by the fact the Ohio State/Michigan game was on, which allowed me to watch it in between contractions to keep my mind occupied and my nerves calm. Since then, my son’s birthday has always fallen on or somewhere around the Big Game, and this year is again no different. His official birthday party is Saturday afternoon, before the game of course, because I want to make sure we are all home in time for the kick-off.
One of the presents I’m giving him this year is a very cute book called It’s Fun to be a Buckeye! It’s a great book that takes kids through the fun and traditions of an Ohio State football game. The author Amy Fowble was kind enough to send me an autographed copy, and I know my son will love it.
If you are a Buckeye fan as well and are looking for a fun way teach the Buckeye football traditions to your kids, I recommend this children’s book. You can find it at book stores like Barnes & Noble, Borders, Waldenbooks, Buckeye Corner as well as the It’s Fun to Be site.
Update: Who’s going to win the Big Game on Saturday? Take the poll at Blogical Conclusions. So far, voters expect OSU to win.
