Alan Schlesinger takes control of a situation that was quickly spiraling out of control. Here’s the story:
Senate candidates squared off Monday night in what turned out to be a very noisy debate.
It is one of the most watched senate races in the country leading up to the November elections.
Tonight incumbent Joe Lieberman faced off with challengers Ned Lamont and Alan Schlesinger.
It is a race that the most recent poll has Lieberman ahead of the pack.

As the debate wrapped up, Lieberman was the subject of some crowd heckling, so much an annoyance his challengers stood up for the Senator.
“Show some respect for Senator Lieberman, leave this audience now,” says Schlesinger.

Watch the video at Hot Air.
A while ago, I posted some of my favorite Ronald Reagan video clips. Schlesinger’s take charge attitude reminds me of this one:
Hecklers=Trolls
I miss “Dutch” more than anything these days!
Vintage Ronaldus Magnus!

Does anyone honestly believe that? I have to watch again to make sure Ned was not clapping or nodding his approval…
We need a lot more of the Reagan response in our leadership today!
Let’s see… were the hecklers Lieberman supporters? Since they were heckling him, I don’t think so.
Were they Schlesinger supporters? Since he scolded them and got an ovation, I don’t think so.
Gee, who does that leave?
And people actually want immature brats like that to decide who runs the country?
Yikes!
