Islam Through The Eyes of Two Women

Sister Toldjah takes a look at two Washington Post pieces on women and Islam. The first is from recent Islam convert,Yvonne Ridley, a British journalist who has learned to “love the veil.” The second, in marked contrast, is of a Muslim woman, Asra Q. Nomani, who writes about “the 4:34 dance,” the interpretation of a verse from the Koran which causes many to reject “outright violence against women but accept a level of aggression that fits contemporary definitions of domestic violence.” Sister Toldjah includes extensive quotes and video in her post. Read it all.
