Some jobs come with some decent privileges. And some jobs come with indecent ones — if the job-holder wants to make an issue of it.
Police officers get plenty of perqs already in society. It’s a fair tradeoff, considering the responsibilities and burdens we shackle them with. But a few (thankfully, very few) cops see their badge as license to indulge themselves even further.
One Boston police officer allegedly took it into his head to enforce the law in his own way, and extract his private justice. He found a prostitute and instead of arresting her, let her “work off” her sentence. With him. In his car.
Well, she grew tired of the “sin tax” he was extorting, so she decided to blow the whistle on him. But she knew that it would not be easy, when it was a matter of her word against his. So she decided to get a little proof of their “arrangement.”
Proof in the form of his badge.
Along with his police ID, gun license, and Social Security card, which he conveniently kept in one leather holder.
Once the lady in question’s allegations — and evidence — were presented to authorities, they gave Officer LoPriore a much closer look. And they found that the smoke the hooker brought them was only the beginning of the fire. In addition to the civil rights charges on her behalf, they also charged him with felony larceny for faking attendance at work details.
Officer LoPriore’s resignation is supposed to take effect today, and he’s also apparently signed away any claims to back pay, reinstatement, or appeal. His attorney’s hoping for probation on the civil rights charges, prosecutors are holding out for at least a year in prison — and the larceny charges are still pending.
Good riddance, Mr. LoPriore. I hope you enjoy your stay as a guest of the state.
Beautiful. Sounds like the young woman would make a better officer than Mr. LoPriore.
It’s Bush’s Fault
Funny enough the “/Lee” tags didnt take on that post 😉
sounds like the story of Tamar which only buttresses the point of everything you need to know you learned in Sunday School (if you paid attention to the naughty parts)
of course this all depends on what the meaning of sex is

Heh. I thought she already was blowing his whistle.
Ba-dum! Ching! (rimshot)
(thank you folks, I’ll be here all week!)
I question the timing.
So how is this any different than what Bubba did to that whore named Monica?
It’s nice to see some resolution to this case… but note the dates. The blowjobs were two years ago.
My, the efficiency of our justice system…
It was so nice of that police officer to let her do what she does best instead of going to jail. He is so kind.
Seriously, this grosses me out a lot. What the heck is wrong with our law enforcers?

We had a case like this locally where a police officer was extorting sexual favors from frightened women in exchange for not busting them on drug or prostitution charges, etc. Once they caught him, they canned his ass and he is now in jail for a long, long time.
The officer/rapist came from a gangbanger background, turned his life around in the US Army, and then went into law enforcement when he got out. His juvie records were sealed, so they weren’t part of any decision to hire him. Maybe they should have been.
