Airforce Major Jill Metzger, stationed at Manas Air Base, was shopping in a Kyrgyzstan mall with friends when she disappeared.
From CNN:
(CNN) — A U.S. Air Force officer is missing after a trip to a shopping mall in Kyrgyzstan, a U.S. military statement said Wednesday.
Maj. Jill Metzger, with the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing, was last seen shopping at the Zum Shopping Center with others from the Manas Air Base when she disappeared on Tuesday, the statement said.
“Major Metzger was last seen wearing a green sweater and blue jeans,” the statement said.
“She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is in excellent athletic condition.”
Military Web sites describe Metzger as a top-flight marathoner.
Both the Kyrgyz police and the US military are searching for her:
BISHKEK, September 6, 2006 (RFE/RL) — Kyrgyzstan’s Interior Ministry and National Security Service say they have launched a joint operation to locate the U.S. air servicewoman who disappeared on September 5 in Bishkek.
The woman, who has been identified as Major Jill Metzger, is working at the U.S. Manas military air base, near Bishkek.
Manas air base public affairs officer Ann Carpenter told RFE/RL’s Kyrgyz Service that Metzger disappeared while shopping at Bishkek’s main department store (TsUM) with other U.S. base members.
“The [U.S.] 376th Air Expeditionary Wing base officials are working with the U.S. Embassy and local officials to locate the servicemember as soon as possible,” Carpenter added.
The U.S. Embassy in Bishkek has issued pictures of a blonde woman as part of the search operation.
Let’s hope she’s found quickly.
Update: Maj. Metzger was supposed to return home on Thursday and went to the mall to buy souvenirs for her family.

Hey folks: great reads (expect for the bickering)
just a few points:
BLUF: I don’t think the story is legit
– the latest pic: the older man putting his arm around her is not her dad… its her chaplain. Dad is in the background.
– I know Jill from college but haven’t stayed in touch very much since. That said: when I knew her, she didn’t fit the mold of some the stories that I’ve read here…BUT… she has gained a reputation in my AF alumni crowd that would support those stories. Reputations, quite frankly, are important.
– I don’t know what happened in Kyrgyzstan but based on what has been reported, I believe Jill was either dishonest or stupid.
– Finally, the pic taken at Moody: unless we got a view of the entire situation (off picture), we are just speculating. Kind of like when the media takes bad pics of politicians they don’t like… this might have been the case here. On the other hand, it was an AF picture so you would think they would want to do the “happy homecoming” story.
Just a thought: her head really was shaved and she is wearing a black wig … or … her hair was dyed and cut so bad that they gave her a wig anyway …
RS
“Borat–She still has black hair and a very ugly hair do….she must it have it cut…Im sure her “abductors” wouldn’t have given her a “style”.
“
I seem to remember US news agencies reporting that she was found roadside, with her hair shaved off.
Hmmm. Weird. Kyrgyz police reported her hair being dyed dark.
And VR,
My source of info finally replied me.
“Привет Кубаныч!
То был канал НТС,а вот число не помню.”
The TV channel the news was on is NTS – it is a Bishkek News station (Gogi, correct me if I am wrong, or is that a National wide TV station?)
I am not in Kyrgyzstan, unfortunately, or I would’ve visited that particular clinic in Issyk Ata district or Kant town, or whatever, just out of curiosity.
Gogi, can you do me a favor? Can you help out VR get a video tape digitized from that TV Station.
I am sooo busy busy at the moment.
Kuba, NTS broadcasts are limited to Bishkek. They no longer broadcast to regions outside Bishkek.
NTS used to present anti-government views, but now they’ve become increasingly pro-government. Our current government is not particularly friendly towards Americans (diplomats expelled, spying accusations, etc.) – President Bakiyev is leaning more towards Russia and it would not suprise me if Kyrgyz government media or government-friendly media come up with anti-US materials.

I have friends among local journos and I will try to come up with more details on the TV spot.
Man in the Pic…..,.Not Her chaplain from Moody…he’s a young guy. Possibly, Bill Rhoades, retired chaplain/family friend from Tallahassee whose wife died the day Jill dissappeared.
another thought- you are correct. I wasn’t clear but didn’t mean to imply base chaplain.
Facts about Jill Metzger:
10. Drove an old pick-up truck with a bumper sticker reading “I Ain’t Skeered”
9. Chews Tobacco
8. Lived (and owned) a single-wide trailer in Tucson, Arizona
7. Is married to someone that resembles her brother
6. Is a NASCAR fan
5. Is “country”
4. Takes romantic first-dates to pool halls
3. Makes a fashion statement by pegging the legs of her oversized athletic pants
2. And now, finally, has the coveted femme mullet she has always wanted
I think from the facts listed above, Jeff Foxworthy may now add to his list: (drum roll please)
“The number one reason you might be a redneck if…you were deployed to Kyrgyz and staged your own abduction to avoid having sex with someone you are actually married to”
Sorry…couldn’t resist. I have been away due to work and the fact this case is a little personal to me and I was finding maybe just a bit too much entertainment in watching Karma unfold before my eyes. However, last night I was out with some business partners and the topic came up. Knowing I had been in the AF, they wanted my viewpoint. I basically said I didn’t want to comment too much because I was a bit personally biased. The general consensus was confusion to the fact Jill has not been punished yet and there is a perception she might get out of it. Civilians usually assume that military is held to a higher standard. How do I assure them the military values and demands integrity when someone who has called this much attention to themselves is allowed to make a statement “respect my privacy”????
As much as I look at this case objectively and read the news theories as well as the theories on this post, I can not help but think the abortion theory is too out there. I don’t know something about the marathon makes me think Jill would never allow herself to get pregnant. If you are determined enough to train for a marathon, you aren’t going to forget to take your pill or insert your diaphram. Something Jill once so eloquently said to me: “I don’t come second to no one” (yes, direct quote to include the actual misuse of the English language). Here is an interesting fact which most of you probably already know; Jill finished second last year in the AF Marathon for females. I would bet she was not willing to do that again. Perhaps she didn’t get as much training in as she had hoped while deployed. Kuba or Gogi (this is a long shot) – but is there perhaps a “drug” district in Kant where one could purchase erythropoietin (the blood doping drug, EPO)? She was scheduled to go on a honeymoon after the marathon and drug tests in the AF are random anyway. She would have had enough time for the drug to leave her system. Just a hunch people, don’t crucify me!
As far as her possibly telling the truth – I suppose there is always a CHANCE that someone could be hypnotized, but I would have expected a different response than the statement she gave. First of all, she did not say anything about being happy to be free and alive. I would have expected her to help authorities in finding the kidnappers to limit the danger to the troops serving in her place. I would have expected a little bit more (especially from Jill) “I am superwoman for escaping…aren’t I the greatest person ever? Did I mention I have won a few AF Marathons? All my comrades should be thankful to have a hero like me serving with them” There wasn’t too much gloating in her statement. Remember the second (or 3rd) AF Marathon she ran when she compared herself to Lance Armstrong??? I can get the link to the article if you need it. I remember thinking “how dare you compare yourself to a CANCER survivor…how arrogant ARE YOU?” My mother died of cancer and to have her think she was anything comparable to Lance Armstrong was appaling and a slap in the face to all cancer survivors. So, my point is that if she HAD indeed escaped an abduction, we surely would have had her compare herself to Jessica Lynch or Robert C. Ode.
http://afmarathon.wpafb.af.mil/articles/2004captain.shtml
Here is the article – just shows that she isn’t interested in privacy when she has something to gloat about. Not sure about a Lance Armstrong/Jill Metzger saga…more like a Jennifer Wilbanks/Jill Metzger saga.
Happy Civilian:
The EPO theory is interesting. Odd, though, that she would take the risk of leaving the big shopping center. If she knew where she could get EPO, seems funny that she wouldn’t have arranged for someone to BRING it to her at the department store.
She does seem quite fixated on that marathon. It was one of her first statements to her parents when she contacted them, that she still wanted to do the marathon. Taking the abortion theory further, and YES, THIS IS EVIL THINKING BUT I’M JUST MAKING A CONJECTURE HERE, could she have had an abortion BECAUSE of the marathon? Maybe the pregnancy WASN’T the result of an affair, maybe it was her husband’s baby, but at 18 or 20 weeks was going to make her way too ungainly to run a marathon. Inconvenient.
VR:
I thought that as well, but two things.
1. She looked/looks almost emaciated, hardly 4 months pregnant
2. If 4 months pregnant, she would have already had to reduce her training and therefore would not be at peak performance by this Saturday
I will research it if I get some time today – or if anyone else knows. For blood doping, athletes can either inject EPO OR get autologous transfusions which do not require hormones, but do require medical equipment…this is done A WEEK prior to the event. HMMMMM. Perhaps she was doing this somewhere? She couldn’t exactly give herself a transfusion in a tent. She would have had to give her own blood prior to that – so I wonder if she made another “shopping trip” a month ago to donate her own blood and made it back in time? I am sure with the training she was doing she met up with local athletes who might have had an “in” somewhere. Maybe this time she wasn’t as quick and didn’t make it back before her face was all over the news. I know the theory is far-fetched, but she seems way too disciplined to get pregnant. Not to mention her permiscuous past…if it were going to happen, it would have happened long before now.
Happy,
Again, very interesting conjectures. However, I just can’t imagine there’s a big EPO market in Bishkek, and can there possibly be a set-up for autologous transfusions for this kind of thing??? The blood would have to be stored in controlled conditions…She would have had to have MAJOR connections there to get that kind of thing done.
It is certainly a mystery.
Let’s not forget where she wound up, in Kant, 30 miles away, in different clothes.
1. The “bomb in her back poket” theory came from a statement from the local Bishek police. Is it possible that there could be a misunderstanding of nuance in the translation betweeen “bomb in her back pocket” and “bomb in her backpack”?
2. Is it possible that if Jill were “slipping away” to go have an abortion/meet a boyfriend/whatever, she wouldn’t walk out the front door? BTW, how does anyone ascribe “coercion or no coercion” from that grainy photograph taken from the back? Are you seeing what you want to see?
3. About the “boyfriend/abortion” theory: When would she have gotten off-post to have trysts with said gentleman? No one is allowed to leave the base without a group and without military transportation. So how would she have carried on an affair with a “Russian pilot”? And *cough* – has anyone actually seen a Russian pilot lately? They ain’t eye-candy – is all I’m sayin’…
4. Wouldn’t it be unusual for a woman to lose total control over herself for a Russian pilot or a “local Krgyz lad” within a very short amount of time of arriving at that base? When would she have met such a man? When would she have carried out her trysts? As Deb G. speculated, she would’ve had to meet him pretty early on in order to get pregnant and plan an abortion – or as Happy Civilian posited – contract an STD. Since Major Metzger was a newlywed, what would you have to speculate to believe that she couldn’t control herself around a butt-ugly Russian pilot or “local Kyrgyz lad”? Nymphomania? Hey – there ya go. Throw that into the sexual speculation pot.
5. Have you noticed the lurid and tawdry sexual gutter talk almost everyone here has a penchant for? Folks are almost gleeful about it. The dirtier, the better.
6. Is it possible to wonder about the story, yet withhold judgment until the facts are in – without resorting to lurid sexual deviancy theories about a female in uniform? I think not. This blog proves it.
7. Major Metzger’s chain-of-command will not allow lies and untruths to stain the reputation of their unit and the AF. You can bet that when they make a statement, it will be the truth. Wouldn’t it be prudent to wait until they have done so before vilifying and sullying their military officer who heretofore has served honorably? Is prudence and wisdom too much to ask for here?
Look, this is the bottom line: it’s one thing to wonder about what happened – and it’s quite another to OBSESS over it. Some people on this blog are well and truly OBSESSED, as you can see by the frequency of their posts. I can’t help but wonder if they are congnizant of how petty they appear, based upon their willingness to believe the most venal things about someone they supposedly don’t know. And their willingness to construe the most mundane of details into evil motives. “Examination of body language” – ha! Everyone knows you can’t examine a photograph of people in motion – a millisecond frozen in time and cropped and framed by the photographer – to mean anything. No professional would expect to glean anything from it. Y’all are seeing what you so desperately WANT to see.
Hey look, for those of you for whom the shoe fits and feel the need to get all defensive…
Don’t bother to respond with “Gosh, it’s just idle curiosity – nothing more.” No. Idle curiosity doesn’t require dozens of posts per day.
Listen up. I’ll say this once and then I’m getting the hell outta here – I feel the need for another shower – with some heavy duty exfoliation. You can all whine and cry about me when I’m gone.
I’m embarressed by all the co-salled “military officers” on this blog hashing and re-hashing the minutiae of this case. You guys are a bunch of salacious gossip-mongers. Worse than Desperate Housewives. Ick.
I’m also angered that you all seem to be doing so on the taxpayers’ dime. As a taxpayer who pays your salary, I say, “GET BACK TO WORK, ya lazy bums!” No more gossip and slander for you! At least not on the MY dime!
Annoyed Taxpayer:
Well said- enough said.
A few things about the military folks on the blog (I’m an AF officer myself):
– many were well spoken, some not. Some had great insight, some have become (self admittedly) obsessed. A few (like me), I’m sure, are posting while not at work. I flat out don’t have time or interest… hell, for that matter, I don’t even have my own office (I fly). Right now, its Friday night a little after midnight, so with the exception of the abuse that I’m putting my eyes through in all this computer time tonight, I’d say I’m free and clear of defrauding the taxpayer.
I get what you mean, though.
Bottom line: I liked your message.
“Is it possible to wonder about the story, yet withhold judgment until the facts are in – without resorting to lurid sexual deviancy theories about a female in uniform? “
Well yes, it’s POSSIBLE, but how interesting would that be? And why on earth did you come on to a blog in the first place if you weren’t hoping to hear conjecture? With all of the deviant conjecture we’ve been doing, we STILL haven’t topped the “bomb-in-a-pocket-react-in-a-trance” story. And there are many, many AF officers out here who get their salaries outside of the government, so rest assured you’re not paying mine.
Ok… there is an example of another good post VR.
witty, logical and slightly combative but not offensive.
I stick by my first thought: Jill is either stupid or lying. Or both.
(why do I suddenly feel like a gay male cheerleader because I told two folks that I agreed with them? Man it’s getting late… maybe Oprah is on).
Annoyed…
You are probably already gone, but just to clarify:
I never thought she had hooked up with a Russian Pilot. My speculations were someone on the base. The affair/std thing was my opion simply because what I know of her makes it more possible than a “bomb in a pocket/backpack”. Although – remember, it was a SHARP object, how could she feel it was sharp if it was in her bag? Sorry, obsession again. And I am not in the military, my salary is large and gives a considerable donation to taxes and I am on my lunch break. : )
Wiz: Had 4 hours of sleep last night. While in Pakistan a few months back had approx 3 hrs per night – used to it I guess. I have a feeling that if I was in a foxhole, you’d cover my back while I nod off for 10!!!
Wig theory is excellent. I am sure they would have helped her clean up a bit especially since that is important for her self esteem/confidence…
—–Annoyed Taxpayer—————
The bomb in the back pocket? You have a good point. I shoulda’ thought about that one!! YEA!! Backpack makes more sense!!!.. MAKES more sense because then… when I got outside I coulda’ tossed it and be done with the situation!! Wow, you are… like so, so.. what’s the word….. brilliant!!! YEA, that’s it!!
Slipping away…. (ALL the doors/exits to that building are “FRONT doors” They just empty out to different parts of the building) ..”coercion or no coercion” Well, you got me there!!.. But, then again – if the bomb is in the back PACK and not back POCKET, makes this a mute point.
Abortion/boy friend… For STARTERS!!!! I am the one who started the ABORTION theory.. and I never said it was a local.. Tent city is a great place to get something going with someone!! Think of it as a camping trip if you will. People in those situations can be very creative, very, very, creative.
And to your last point.. Lazy Bums, etc… I’m not active duty, but if I were, as I have been… We ‘Active Duty Folks’ are paid on a 24/7 clock.. That is we are always ‘working’. Ya’ see, an active duty person can be on their way home, be home, be at a picnic, on vacation, or anything considered “off” time – and be called back at the flip of a dial… MOST civilians don’t have that schedule. We/they, just don’t have the luxury of saying… “No war for me today, it’s my day off!!”
So, as much as it pains me to have to say this… don’t you have to be at the office today? So, git, already.. go on.. git!!!
Oh, one more itsy, bitsy, tiny detail.. active duty people pay taxes too.. Just thought you might wanna know that.
Annoyed taxpayer,
DId you know that us military folks pay taxes too? Just making sure, but anyway, although I’m an Air Force Officer who put 8 years of active duty, now I am serving my time as a Reservist. Obviously not on duty right now. So NO, you are not paying my salary right now. Maybe when I go to serve my days you will, and then I won’t be posting here.
I do not like the fact though, that I could go and die for you…that thought makes me sick, but if the time ever comes I’ll just think of the nice americans who do respect the military…for them I’m willing to give my life 🙂
————correction—————
MOOT point..vs mute point…
Musta been thinking about the annoyed taxpayer
I know, let’s have someone shove a note into Jill’s AF PT pants that says to go to wizbangblog.com and tell her story. Maybe we can induce a trance or something.
IKJ…LOL! Why do I feel like I know you?
I can predict Jill’s post now:
“Deb G, did you put a note in my back pocket?
I personally know Jill, because I am Jill and she is a super person, so believe anything she says! You see wha wha what happened was…”
I think I see a season premier of the Ali G show with Jill guest starring in the near future.
The AF is small world, you never know. I haven’t been stationed at ETAR but I’ve been there quite a bit.
IKJ aren’t my initials… it stands for “I Know Jill”… (although she didn’t have a bad rep when I knew her but that was a long time ago).
——ikj——————
WAAAHhhhahahah!!!!!!!!
No way! Not ME!!! I wouldn’t touch THOSE pants for half the taxes in Annoyed taxpayers Pockets..
Maybe……. just maybe, there’s a possibility to send her an email and have it work just the same:
EMAIL TO: Jack&[email protected]
Dear Jill:
This email is set to induce trance-like state in 10 seconds.. Report to Wizbangblog.com and comply with all our demands for the truth.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may impose on you or your family.
Sincerely,
The Lazy, non-taxpaying, obsessed with the truth people at above stated website.
In the words of the Immortal Bartles and James: We Thank You for Your Support
If we CAN get a vol for the note shoving, maybe we can eliminate one of the possibilites. (blood doping, hormone treatments et al).
Whoever shoves the note, will need to do a sausage check. I am not available btw for said mission.
with that disgusting thought, its time to raise the handgrips on this for now. I’ll check in later for the latest.
IKJ – I figured that is what your alias stood for.
Think her bad rap started at DM (’99 is when I first heard of her bad rap from a friend at Aviano)and her rap followed her to Korea and then Spangahlem/Ramstein.
For anyone taking offense, I would never talk about someone’s reputation online if she had not put herself on the news. Up unitl a week ago I wasn’t even thinking about this girl.
IKJ:
I would volunteer the ex, but I think he is out of country : )
Although Annoyed Taxpayer seems fairly sexually frustrated…

Hi People…
Thanks for the email.. It really worked – I mean I went into the trance thing again.. and it was like the email said… 10 seconds.
Sorry that I couldn’t get in here earlier. You just would’t believe what I’ve been going through… OH!! That’s right, redundant on my part.. you don’t believe it!
Well, I don’t blame you, I can’t believe it either.
It was like… like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. The high was just so overwhelming. Yea, I’ve won a couple of marathons, and that’s great.. but THIS!!!
I am like really at the center of the universe right now. (Armstrong eat your heart out baby).. I mean we are talking INTERNATIONAL recognition. Of course, I don’t expect you to understand, how could you? After all, the huge gap between my personality and yours, well you know.
So, I am ready to answer all your questions. And you know me… TRUTH is my middle name! So just fire away.. Oh, before we start, anyone happen to have some hair dye with you? They’ll be looking for me soon over at Moody.. gotta have my story straight for them when I get back..
Jill,
First things first because we all know the important question here.
Will you be able to run the AF Marathon on Saturday?
(crossing my fingers)
Jill Darling…
Did you like the flowers that Borat sent for you?
Now tuck in your shirt, dear. Shoulders back, chin up. Have you gained weight? You do not look good, Jill. I told you never to cut or dye your hair. Now look at you. I will take you to my stylist and we can having matching pixies. But first, your Father wants you to run in the marathon and you must not upset him. Do you hear me Jill? You must not upset your Father.
You know…I didn’t have anything to say so I was just going to visit today, but after Annoyed Taxpayer’s message, I’m going to chime in just ‘cuz! I really get a kick out of the whole “I pay your salary” routine. Gee thank you so much. Since my life is worth more than what a Major makes and more importantly the lives of my troops are worth more than what they make, can we renogiate prior to our next deployment to a combat zone for the purposes of defending our collective freedom? Just wondering why you get so mad about a few military types taking time to type on a blog, but you don’t get upset when we’re working 16-20 hour days, 6/7 days a week in a combat zone.
Oh yeah, and for the record, I’m typing this on MY time, on MY computer. Just wanted to set that record straight.
Jill,
Can I get my hair back?

Great post. If I may, I think a lot of “military” types are “obsessed” with this topic due to the perception the tax payers have of the military i.e., “I pay your salary”
Major Metzger represents the military and the “Runaway Bride” title would have “annoyed taxpayers” putting stereotypes on Officers – especially the female type.
For what it is worth, having been in the civilian work force for a few years now I am constantly amazed at the lack of tolerance and misinformed judgements some civilians make of the people serving their country. However, those that take the time to be informed and educated about current events understand our military is stretched thin,over-worked and under paid. Trust me, there are many. They truly appreciate those serving and never forget to send me a “Thank You” email on Veterans Day (as corny as that might sound); they would never be ignorant enough to think anyone owed them for “paying” their salary! It is because of the small percentage of ungrateful and uninformed people that I worry about the implications of Jill’s actions.
I would also like to add that I am IMPRESSED by the amount of Military (officers and enlisted) that are not accepting this story as it was told. It proves the core value “Integrity” is still taken seriously and as one of your core values, you are not willing to sit back and let it be destroyed by a tall-tale.
Getting off soapbox now.
How dare they confuse people who are truly POW/MIA AGAINST THEIR WILL w/ this story. What is going on??? Here is the article. Write the news people at the address below if this infuriates you!***************
Today is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. It was established in 1995.
But some airmen at Moody are proud to have a day that unites everyone who has ever served in the military to honor their fellow soldiers. “Having a day of recognition gives us that chance to focus one day, all the way from commander in chief down to the youngest airmen on what that means to us,” says Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Lovett.
This day hits close to home at Moody.
Major Jill Metzger, stationed at Moody, returned home yesterday after disappearing in Kyrgyzstan for three days.
Feedback: [email protected]
Per your article on National POW/MIA Recognition Day; don’t you think it is a bit premature to compare Jill Metzger to a POW/MIA? Isn’t a Prisoner of War someone held captive by the enemy during war? Major Metzger was not in a war zone, nor was she held captive by any recognized “enemy”. If your comparison is based upon a Prisoner of War definition which her situation falls under if in fact her story is true, then wouldn’t she be labeled as a deserter if the investigation reveals her story is fabricated? My understanding is that the Air Force has not concluded the investigation; therefore, no official statement has been made about Major Metzger’s disappearance. I think it is a bit presumptuous to compare her to true heroes at this time.
Right on Time…
Thanks…. here’s the site….

suggestion:
I sincerely wish to inform you that not all Active Duty and Retired service members share your opinion. To put Major Jill Metzger into the same category, or to even mention her name within the same context which is used to commemorate Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action, is a gross injustice to those who for whom this day has been set aside.
Sincerely,
And who do they choose to become the unwitting little participant in their little piece…..
Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Lovett
Not many will fail to stop at the end of the quote and recognize that the paper added the rest of their little “glory to our little girl story”……………. but will attribute the entire piece to the poor Sarge.
Heaping Mounds of Whale Dung!!!! How low can you go???
Here’s the link to the local newspaper. She returned to Moody last night at 6:00pm.

WOW, great posts. Annoyed Taxpayer is annoying. That post was so out in left field I am not even going to bother to answer…
All I know is: I certainly would want a bunch of you in a Foxhole with me!
Wiz: You always make me smile when I read these blogs…
Maybe there is so much silence from the Air Force because they could possibly be gearing up for Jill’s punishment phase. Normally, AF officials would offer some type of press conference of her return, the situation, etc….There has been NOTHING. I have a feeling the AF already knows the truth and they are trying to figure out how to handle it as it truly does have a reflection to the entire world at this point of military conduct….
Deb G:——————————
I don’t want to be a bear of bad tidings.. BUUUUUUUTTT~ This move by the local paper is a fantastic example of what the media is all about.
IT just so happens…. that they put the article in for POW/MIAs, it just so happens that the poor sarge is an unwitting ‘accomplice’ (Enlisted???), and in the game of chess…. CHECK!
Jill,
Honey, I am so disappointed that we will not be able to have romantic dinners together and have that honeymoon time. Seems you took it with someone else while gone. Did you think he was me?? I know, I know, you want your privacy – ok ok, no please don’t fall into a trance while I am talking to you, wait, Jill, don’t run now, there is no taxi for you out there! It’s all about you as it always has been. Why did you not throw the bomb away or alert someone – I know I know, you were in a trance, calm down…..
I have a question: Do you still love me?
This has to be having some effect due to the fact that the local articles re: Moody POW/MIA ceremony are deleting their references to Major Metzger.
——-R.O.T.————
You saying papers are removing refs or sites are removing refs, How Copy?
Oh My! They really took out her name from the article. I read the article about 1 hour ago and it mentioned her and now her name is gone. Not sure how many of you e-mailed the station but I did. I also asked them to please stay on top of the situation in the hopes that they would find out what the real story is. Anyway, here’s the article as it reads now.

Valdosta – In Valdosta, hundreds of airmen gathered at Moody Air Force Base to honor the men and women who were prisoners of war and are missing in action.
I emailed in. That was a disgrace to include her at this point…
I think is awesome that they listened to us. They most have because otherwise her name would still be there. Hopefully we created enough commotion to get them curious to find out what really happened.
