We are. We just get to see something most others don’t, and it helps us appreciate what we do.
Stories like this churn my insides that I can’t go back. When I see that my fellow Marines lose limbs and still get to go back, it pisses me off to no end that my medical condition would make me more of a liability than an asset.
Awesome story. Thanks Jay.
Thank you Jay for the link. I cannot be absolutely sure that I would be so accepting if I were in the situation these young people are in. I guess they have truly discovered that the success of their mission is larger than their own significant personal losses.
Thanks Jay. Semper Fi.
“Looking for a few good men.”
It’s not just a saying!
I tried to trackback to this post with my post but it kept saying I was posting trackbacks too fast. How can one trackback be too fast?
Ditto Don’s problem. Great pointer, Jay.
I tried to get back for Dessert Storm but they said 55 was too old. Damn, I’m a better shot now the as a Lance Corporal.
Man the Hymn still stands my hair on end…
