Drudge is reporting that a top ABC producer expressed his disdain for President Bush in an e-mail:
A top producer at ABC NEWS declared “Bush makes me sick” in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
John Green, currently executive producer of the weekend edition of GOOD MORNING AMERICA, unloaded on the president in an ABC company email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
“If he uses the ‘mixed messages’ line one more time, I’m going to puke,” Green complained.
The blunt comments by Green, along with other emails obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, further reveal the inner workings of the nation’s news outlets.
A friend of Green’s at ABC says Green is mortified by the email. “John feels so badly about this email. He is a straight shooter and great producer who is always fair. That said, he deeply regrets the sentiment expressed in the email and the embarrassment it causes ABC News.”
I’m sure John Green is mortified that his opinion of President Bush was released on the internet. However, he isn’t saying anything conservatives don’t already know: the media has an inherent bias against President Bush. Mr. Green’s e-mail is simply the most recent example of it. I’m curious what else Green said about Bush in the additional e-mails that Drudge mentioned.
Kevin adds: Perhaps the old saying about never putting something in writing that you’d be embarrassed to see on the front page of The Washington Post needs to be updated for the Internet age to never put something in writing that you’d be embarrassed to see under the Drudge siren…
Update: From Newsbusters: Keith Olbermann claimed on his show this evening that the White House leaked Green’s memo to Drudge.
What a chump.
I’m simply shocked. Who would have guessed?
“John feels so badly about this email.”
If John felt so badly – WTF did he send it for????
What exactly does John feel so badly about?
Joe,
Getting caught.

We already knew that ABC had a bias against Bush. And I don’t see anything wrong with one of its producers expressing his personal opinions of the President in a private e-mail. So… what’s the big deal?
Better! Don’t divert; Triangulate!
I’ve been annoyed with liberal media bias for over 20 years and yet I find I can’t get too upset over this. So Green expressed an unguarded opinion. Is this a crime? It was not intended for public consumption, and it was not his fault the email was given to Drudge.
And are we shocked to find media people in the pressroom who don’t like Bush? Getting on this guy’s case is like yelling at dogs because they bark and shed fur.
At least he didn’t try to tilt the presidential election by pulling documents out of his ass like Dan Rather did.
Let’s find something else more worthy to be outraged about.
Dont everyone be bitter because Green was expressing a view shared by a MAJORITY of Americas (look at recent polls.) The media’s job is to REPORT objectively, but it’s unreasonable to expect each and every media member to personally THINK objectively.
Colby,
When they start to report objectively, you’re point would have merit.
Unsend! Unsend! dammitt, where’s the Unsend button?
Tob
Chances are you will have people who hate Bush, dislike Bush, or whatever in a news room in the USA. However, I’m curious as to why he would be using his ABC e-mail to spout opinions about Bush.
On his free time – blast away! He should not have been doing so in his capacity as producer of news.
In other words, there’s nothing wrong with John Green saying “Bush makes me sick”. However, there is something wrong with John Green, ABC producer, saying “Bush makes me sick”.
Caught telling the truth, how schocking

I wonder if “mexed missages” was as emetic.
The dumbass sent it from his crackberry, so it was a spontaneous thought expressed via his thumbs.
What a dickhead in any event. He’s sorry the truth about him is out. BFD. Like we didn’t already know.
It’s pretty funny to watch them squirm though.
Media elite. What a fricking joke.

This is exactly why many people, especially on the right, are laughing. The media constantly assures us that they ARE objective, that they DON’T have a bias, etc, etc. Now we get concrete proof (as if we needed it!) of just how full of sheep dip those protestations of innocence are.
Let me also turn the tables a bit:
Suppose Brit Hume or Roger Ailes at FNC got caught sending an e-mail saying how Harry Reid or San Fran Nan Peolsi make them sick? Can you imagine the outrage from the left?
Colby,
Those polls are generally run by…guess who? News agencies who have been repeatedly shown to skew the polls to be overly weighed with Democrats. If you are going to poll the DNC you’re not going to get many Bush supporters. And if those self-same polls are the result of biased, politically motivated so called journalist trying to shape/change/alter/hijack public opinion on issues like the Iraq War it isn’t relevent?
Served in the military. Was in the first Gulf War. Flew missions over Iraq in Operation Southern Watch. Have a brother in Iraq and several other family and friends. The one universal comment I get from all of them is that the press in the US is reporting nearly 180 degrees the opposite of what is really going on. Some out of sheer ignorance because they think it’s the job of the press to be anti-Bush and most others due to direct political leanings and outright conspiracy to oust Bush (let’s not forget CBS getting their forger in touch with the Kerry campaign).
Yet the claim objectivity.
When they aren’t. They are just lying, pro-liberal hacks spinning “news” when it’s nothing more than editorials.
He isn’t embarrassed he sent the email or expressed. He is embarrassed he got caught. He’s a news PRODUCER. A lot of news people at ABC work for him.
If he is willing to show his political preference then how many of his employees think maybe they better report negative things about Bush to make the boss happy?
If the MSM would just stop lying about being objective and admit they are little more than the propaganda arm for the Democratic party it would be different. To sit there and claim objectivity while accusing Fox of being Bush’s cheerleaders is the height of hypocrisy.
They’ve been busted forging documents about Bush, busted forging polls, caught on audio (CNN) espousing pro-Democrat liberal views, outright lying about soldiers targeting journalists under orders from the Whitehouse, and now this.
What you people on the left need to realize is that you aren’t the majority. You’re just loud…and apparently really clueless as to what the rest of America really thinks.
Those polls are generally run by…guess who? News agencies who have been repeatedly shown to skew the polls to be overly weighed with Democrats.
Really? Like this Fox News poll?
President Bush’s job approval rating held steady this week at 39 percent, unchanged from polling conducted two weeks ago and 3 points higher than his record low rating of 36 percent approval (November 8-9, 2005). Just over half — 51 percent — disapprove of the job Bush is doing.
Damn liberal media!
I agree with Oregon Muse. He’s entitled to his opinion. What he’s not entitled to do is allow his personal feelings to de-objectify the news reported on his show.
As a former employee of an ABC radio affiliate, I have heard a LOT of anti-Bush bias on ABC News Radio.
Well, Barbara Bush makes me sick. Read on……
FORMER FIRST LADY’S DONATION AIDS SON

Former first lady Barbara Bush donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund with specific instructions that the money be spent with an educational software company owned by her son Neil.
Since then, the Ignite Learning program has been given to eight area schools that took in substantial numbers of Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
“Mrs. Bush wanted to do something specifically for education and specifically for the thousands of students flooding into the Houston schools,” said Jean Becker, former President Bush’s chief of staff. “She knew that HISD was using this software program, and she’s very excited about this program, so she wanted to make it possible for them to expand the use of this program.”
The former first lady plans to visit a Houston Independent School District campus using the Ignite program today to call on local business leaders to support schools and education.
The trip to Fleming Middle School is intended to showcase Bush’s commitment to education for both Houston-area and New Orleans evacuee students, according to a press release issued Wednesday by Ignite.
Fleming, which has more than 170 New Orleans students, was one of eight area schools chosen by the Harris County Department of Education to receive a donated COW, or Curriculum on Wheels, multimedia program after Hurricane Katrina.
Neil Bush founded Austin-based Ignite Learning, which produces the COW program, in 1999.
Becker said she wasn’t at liberty to divulge how much money the Bush family gave to the hurricane funds, but said the “rest of their donation was not earmarked for anything.”
Nationally, some other donors also specified how they wanted their donations spent, Becker said.
For example, one man wanted his money to go to Habitat for Humanity but via the former presidents’ fund. Nearly $1 million has been raised for the local fund and more than $120 million for the national.
Regarding the fact that Bush’s earmarked donation also benefited her son’s company, Becker said, “Mrs. Bush is obviously an enthusiastic supporter of her son. She is genuinely supportive of his program,” and has received many letters from educators who support it. Bush “honestly felt this would be a great way to help the (evacuee) students.”
Barbara and Neil Bush presented the donated programs to Houston-area schools this winter.
Districts that received the free curriculum include Houston, Alvin, Katy, Pearland and Spring and the New Orleans West charter school.
There are 40 Ignite programs being used in the Houston area, and 15 in the Houston school district, said Ken Leonard, president of Ignite.
Information about the effectiveness of the program, through district-generated reports, was not readily available Wednesday, according to an HISD spokeswoman.
Two years ago, the school district raised eyebrows when it expanded the program by relying heavily on private donations.
In February 2004, the Houston school board unanimously agreed to accept $115,000 in charitable donations from businesses and individuals who insisted the money be spent on Ignite. The money covered half the bill for the software, which cost $10,000 per school.
The deal raised conflict of interest concerns because Neil Bush and company officials helped solicit the donations for the HISD Foundation, a philanthropic group that raises money for the district.
HISD school principals decide for themselves whether to spend their budgeted money on Ignite.
Leonard said that in the past six to eight months, the company has hired national sales representatives across the country — in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Nevada — in hopes of expanding beyond Texas. Currently, about 80 percent of the company’s customers are from Texas.
Last year, Neil Bush reportedly toured former Soviet Union countries promoting Ignite with Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky.
According to the Times of London, Berezovsky, a former Kremlin insider now living in Britain, is wanted on criminal charges in Moscow accusing him of seeking to stage a coup against President Vladimir Putin.
The purpose of today’s event is to showcase everyone’s efforts in helping the hurricane evacuee students who ended up in Houston, Leonard said.
“We have a role, but we’re not the leader in this,” Leonard said. He also acknowledged that his company will benefit from the former first lady’s visit.
Barbara Bush is expected to observe both teachers and students using the Ignite Learning program while touring classrooms, according to the Ignite press release.
During a short reception, teachers and students will give testimonials about the program and Bush will “encourage community business leaders to have a stronger presence in supporting schools and education,” the press release said.
The free-standing instructional tools that are not dependent on the Internet. They include a built-in computer, projector and speakers and come pre-loaded with science and social studies courses.
Go ahead, you right-wing whack jobs, let’s hear your retarded rationalization of more Bush family nepotism done under the guise of humanitarianism. Such assholes. It’s easy to find the 666 people in this country who still support Monkey Boy Bush – they’re right here on Wizbang!!!
“Mrs. Bush is obviously an enthusiastic supporter of her son. She is genuinely supportive of his program,”
Hahahaha – did she support him when he used hookers on business trips? Isn’t he also the one that ran that federal savings and loan into the ground when his father was vice president – costing us taxpayers billions?
Ozzy and Harriet the Bush Family ain’t, but the repubs just can’t stop talking about Bill Clinton. The hypocrisy!!!!
So my question for “Countdown Keith” is, where did the White House get the internal ABC message to leak it to Drudge? From the secret cadre of conservatives working at ABC? Or from the space aliens that transmitted the news about all those missing Cuyahoga County, Ohio votes to your tin-foil helmet? (Cuyahoge County, by the way, had more “registered voters” than live adult residents for the 2004 election, thanks largely thousands of new voters registered by the AFL-CIO and ACORN. Some 40,000 of those new voters in Ohio either didn’t exist or didn’t know their address, since that’s how many registration cards were returned as “undeliverable”, just in the four big urban Democratic counties as of two weeks or so before the election. But you don’t need the card to vote, so who knows how many tens of thousands of fraudulent votes were cast?)
BTW, the Opinion Dynamics Poll referred to above has a breakdown of 37% D, 36% R, 20% I, and the rest either don’t know or don’t care. To the extent you think that’s an accurate snapshot of the American electorate, you can take the poll seriously.
carmine,
Let me see, so your point is that it’s bad for Barbara Bush to provide her son Neil’s educational software to people free of charge. And because of that crime against humanity, no one should support her other son, who’s the President of the U.S.
That’s a very compelling argument that you’re just another left-wing wacko.
What a SURPRISE…..
Carmine, I think you,ve cracked and blown a euphorian gasket…,
This just in.
Keith Olberman is upset that Drudge won’t take his e-mails attacking President Bush.
“I’ve called him every name in the book, described my visceral hatred for his very existence, fantasized on his demise, and neither Drudge nor the Secret Service care! I’m a tv star, for cripes sake! My e-mails deserve to be published!”
When asked to comment, the Secret Service said “Keith who?”
Developing….
I think You have something there ! Keith who??
Great work!
