Last weeks Weekend Caption Contest™ got a rise out of just about everyone. Due to a variety of calamities that befell me beginning on Sunday, I’m just getting back to the point where I had the block of hours required to competently judge the entries. You are, of course, free to disagree with my competence in the matter… The assignment was to caption the following picture:
Here are the winning entries:
1) (Stephen Macklin) – “A striking example of pre-coital architecture.“
2) (c) – “Drawn together under the historic pennant of their ancestors, ex-patriots from Nantucket gather in a foreign land for a day of limericks and exotic contests of physical prowess.“
3) (billy) – “The U.S. Military’s new Clinton class ICBM.“

Honorable Mention
4) (Peter F.) – “And then, this one time at Buenos Aires band camp…“
5) (Mike Williams) – “Damn it! I said ‘condominium!’“
6) (Rodney Dill) – “Better skip the four hours, Ed and just seek immediate medical attention.“
The Only In His Dreams Award goes to:
(Murdoc) – “That’s a great pic, but next time ask for permission before using me in your silly contest, okay? It’s just the *nice* thing to do…”
Until a few hours from now…
Thanks Kev,
The problem with this type of contest is you end up with too many good captions, but I gotta agree that the top three you picked are really good.
I would have won, but I couldn’t enter because I’m Catholic.
Frankly I think Rod’s (sorry, “Rodney’s”) was the best.
