    I cannot seem to link to this post. When I tried the normal trackback method, my activity log said this: Ping ‘http://wizbangblog.com/cgi-bin/mt-tb.cgi/6347’ failed: HTTP error: 403 Throttled
    So I tried via the Wizbang trackback form, and got the response that I am not authorized on this server or something.

    Help?

    Cranky,

    If you’re manually submitting the trackback via haloscan, try pasting the trackback URL, and then hitting ‘Enter’ to scroll the cursor to the next line. For some reason this seems to work for me.

    Then click the pawprint at Wizbang to check to see if your trackback was received– there’s sometimes a +/- 10 minute delay until the inline trackback is posted.

    The standalone trackback tool, of all things, reports:
    You are pinging trackbacks too quickly. Please try again later.

    On a single trackback attempt. This looks suspiciously like the same problem that kept me from tracking back yesterday from one of my posts, only it can’t be a problem on my end.

    I’m going to try again, so my trackback may appear, but there seem to be track issues here in Wizbangland.

    The requested page could not be found.
    Page not found – /cgi-bin/mt-tb.cgi/6347

    Which is the same problem I had yesterday.

    fwiw I’ve been unable to succeed as well.

    it’s a terrific generous feature by Wizbang–and I’ve been able, with a few bugs, to link in the past.

    After another couple of tries, I got my trackback submitted. Guess the machinery is just temperamental today. 😉
