If you watched the Masters you’re probably well aware of the drama at the 16th hole on Sunday’s back 9. Tiger Woods chip shot for birdie hanging on the lip of the cup, eventually falling in is already an instant classic Masters moment.

A new website, How Did It Go In?, has appeared offering a variety of humorous explanations (with obligatory Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore references) as to what cause Tiger’s ball to fall in the hole. Joe Jaffe looks at the site with a marketers eye and makes the case that the hidden force behind the viral marketing campaign is probably Nike or their ad agency.
