Revenge Of The Empire

What happens when a maverick city councilman starts a blog and uses it to ask hard budget questions that go against the interests of the local mega-paper?

The San Francisco Chronicle, rather than address substantive issues, chooses to muckrake with this pathetic headline “Public picks up tab for Daly blog – District 6 supervisor first official to keep diary on city’s dime” (they have since changed to a less inflammatory headline in their online editions).

San Francisco Supervisor Chris Daly attacked by The San Francisco Chronicle

Last we checked pretty much all of the activities of a full-time politicians are done on the taxpayers dime. San Francisco Supervisor Chris Daly is to be commended for exploring a new medium of communication, at a negligible cost (if any) to taxpayers, not hounded by the Chronicle for possible wrongdoing or misconduct.
