Newsweek’s exclusive, behind-the-scenes account of the presidential campaign it your must read material for the weekend. There’s so much inside information packed into these articles you will feel like you’re a part of the inner circle of both campaigns.
Here’s a comprehensive listing to the publication.
Since there is no where else to put this just for random info. I like my district. We have a conservative man running unopposed for District 22 in California.

Its nice, because the longer they stay in the house, the more powerful they become.
Congressman Bill Thomas: District 22, California
My apologies I’ll just post it as a link
Will there be story like this about Tom Daschle?
Ya know…he said he was going to continue to serve South Dakotans. I am reeeeasonably sure he can handle a paper hat and the phrase: “Would you like some fries with that?”
Moseby: LOL!

In that newsweek issue, there is a huge picture of the “Giant Killer” John Thune. Covered at my site with this post. I hope someone does a article about Daschle, with all the crazy stuff he tried to pull (esp on election eve, suing Thune in federal court).
The most striking thing about this series is that John Kerry isn’t the flip-flopping ditherer he was painted to be.
He’s _worse_.
For the second election in a row, America dodged a bullet. The first failed candidate has gone psycho… the second was destined to become known as the Paralysis President.
From the NewsWeek article:
“Kerry did not like to play the brave war hero. His pollster, Mark Mellman, had tested a theme line
To be fair, Kerry’s legislative record is incredible. I can’t believe he spent 20 years in the Senate and accomplished so little. And I can’t believe he kept getting re-elected.
Campaign 2004!? Jeez, is that ever old news! I’m already blogging about Campaign 2008!
haha I love this paragraph:
“Edwards played along, but his aides were indignant. They warned the veep candidate that the story was already out of control and about to get worse. Historian Douglas Brinkley, author of a wartime biography of Kerry, cautioned that Kerry’s diary included mention of a meeting with some North Vietnamese terrorists in Paris. Edwards was flabbergasted. “Let me get this straight,” the senator said. “He met with terrorists? Oh, that’s good.” “
apparently Edwards didn’t know about Kerry meeting with terrorists.
A COMMENT TO SHARE, OFF TOPIC if Wizbang will allow me to share this (please?):
My blog, BIRD, is showing as “not available on this server” because my current hosting service has some inexplicable problem with my database. They are aware of the problem and don’t, yet, even indicate that they know what’s what or why the problems I am having even exist.
So, if anyone tries to access that link (“BIRD” at my current host, http://suzyrice.com/BIRD/index.html) it results in a “not on this server” error message…although the bill is paid (always has been), the contents are fine and still available, but the database is corrupted for unknown reason (happened Friday midday).
I am currently considering moving everything for my domain to Hosting Matters (although they don’t offer the amount of disk space that I currently pay for monthly from Yahoo) — but it’s well spoken of and about by many in our conservative blogosphere, and so I will make a decision tomorrow and hopefully just move the site to another server/host by Monday or on Monday.
In the interim, if anyone visits BIRD and finds the empty space response, please be patient by a few days and give me time to reposition my domain elsewhere. Yahoo has not indicated to me any idea as to when they’ll even know, much less repair, whatever is causing my site to be corrupted as it is now, so I have lost patience as a customer — yesterday’s corruption problem is just an ongoing list of problems from time authored through to the present and I think it’s time to relocate.
If anyone has suggestions for a great webhosting service, please let me know (mailo AT suzyrice DOT com), but so far it looks like Hosting Matters, just because that’s a well mentioned hosting location from what I’ve read/heard to date.
I’m open to suggestions…I don’t mind paying for a reasonable monthly fee as long as it provides great services and RESPONSIVE TECHNICAL SUPPORT for problems just such as this. Yahoo is doing badly in this last regard.
Suzy, check out Verve. They’re my host and I’ve been extremely satisfied with them.
Thanks, O.K., will do.
Until I can solve the problem I am experiencing, perhaps everyone who wants to read my blog (“BIRD”) will visit the mirror site:
http://suzyrice.blogspot.com
I am finally appreciating blogspot’s free hosting services. Eating a piece of humble pie here where blogspot is concerned…who is saving the day, with the mirror site contents preserved, while the domain is enirely unavailable.
It’s funny bu the chapter titled “The Bush Daughters” doesn’t even talk about them at all.
