Don Corleone, consilgliere to the Democratic National Committee

I once read a comment that for any situation, a man can find words of guidance from the movie “The Godfather.”

“Women can be more dangerous than shotguns.”

“Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

“Leave the gun. Take the cannolis.”

“Do you spend time with your family? Good. Because a man that doesn’t spend time with his family can never be a real man.”

But I never realized that the Democratic National Committee subscribed to this philosophy.

One of the most truthful lines I recall from that movie was “a lawyer with a briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns.” The DNC appears to have taken that sentiment to heart, and are looking to find out if 10,000 lawyers with briefcases and cell phones and laptops and fax machines can steal an election.

I’m with Hugh Hewitt on this one. “If it’s not close, they can’t cheat.”
