Do you remember Al Franken when he actually appeared on SNL. I can’t remember the year but it was still the original cast. He was “reporting live from the floor of the ??? Convention.” He was encased in an over the top early version of satelite technology which never worked.

patty…I remember that sketch and that character, which was the only one Franken ever performed other than Smalley…guy wearing overweight satellite on his head, falling over before the camera from the weight of the equipment he was wearing. It wasn’t funny, is why I remember it, because I was always curious how and why Franken was persisting in that character as recurring sketch, when it never made anyone laugh so much as look at their watches/clocks.
I remember Franken in a skit like that. It was during the first Gulf War and he was wondering around in the desert looking for the troops.
Well, I hate the nasty little troll, but I have to say his Tsongas impression (on SNL) was dead-on.

In several SNL skit Al Franken claimed to be performing on behalf of the Communist Party. Also see Tunnel Vision. Al Franken was in it and it’s RAUNCHY. Also in Tunnel Vision was that big blond lady cop in Hill Street Blues completly naked. But thats another issue.

I always remember the one he did with Tom Davis, both of them on stage, “Tom and I would like to take this opportunity to publicly advocate the violent overthrow of the Uninted States government…”

Is flex time against the law? If so are they going to repeal the law?
Or is the government going to force employers to offer flex time?
The employee can choose time off or OT pay. The employer has the final say.

Believe it or not, the overtime requirements were so rigid that the employees were effectively allowed flex time only in the same week as the day they got the overtime.

Steve, that is quite possibly the best reason not to watch anything EVER. The words Al Franken and RAUNCHY . . . *shudders*
Here’s an Airhead America question for you all: Why doesn’t Randi Rhodes ever want to be interviewed by any of the righty talk show hosts? She probably doesn’t want to face these two questions: 1) “Why did you tell that joke about pulling a Fredo Corleone – i.e. assassination – on President Bush?” 2) “Did you really get drunk and urinate on a Christmas tree back in 1999, like the Palm Beach Post reported?”
