If I live to be 100 I’ll never understand how liberals think — or don’t.
In a fit of dementia Kos thinks he caught Arnold in a lie.
Schwarzenegger said in his speech:
I finally arrived here in 1968. What a special day it was. I remember I arrived here with empty pockets but full of dreams, full of determination, full of desire.
The presidential campaign was in full swing. I remember watching the Nixon-Humphrey presidential race on TV. A friend of mine who spoke German and English translated for me. I heard Humphrey saying things that sounded like socialism, which I had just left.
But then I heard Nixon speak. Then I heard Nixon speak. He was talking about free enterprise, getting the government off your back, lowering the taxes and strengthening the military.
But Arnold could not confuse super sleuth Kos who notes:
The facts? There was no presidential debate in that election. Nixon never debated Humphrey.
(emphasis his)
The real facts? Schwarzenegger never said they debated! He plainly said he watched the RACE.
Liberals are funny. They can spot a ‘lie” from Arnold even when their “evidence” demonstrably proves there is none, but Kerry can give 16 different versions of his Christmas in Cambodia story and liberals think they are all true.
Does the foam/froth from Kos’ mouth defeat his vision or interrupt his hearing?
As noted, watching a Presidential Race does not a debate…make!
Left Coast Drama…
One of the usual suspects on CNN made this point either late last night or early this morning so that is where he might have latched on to this piece of wisdom.
Do all the ‘liberals’ have to end up just repeating what some other ‘liberal’ has said, and trying to convince everyone that it is true simply because ‘everyone’ is saying it?
This is as stupid as J*K and Edwards running around making a big deal of the ‘we can’t win’ meme. What a sad display.
It’s amazing how petty the points are they trying to score off Ah-nuld. Yglesias just tried to catch him out over the Russian occupation presence in Austria, but has been proved wrong in seconds by someone with access to… Google. Duh.
The important thing this shows, highlighting Ah-nuld’s devastating impact, is that they can find no substantive points to make.

The source for this meme may have been William Saletan over at Slate.
In his article on Arnie’s speech (http://slate.msn.com/id/2106025/) he has a foot note with this correction:
Correction, Sept. 1, 2004: I initially wrote that Schwarzenegger described the Humphrey-Nixon exchange as a debate. I misunderstood him. There were no debates in that campaign. He was talking about watching both candidates and comparing their positions.
Kos may have been using secondary sources. Not a good idea in an echo-chamber of opinion.
What is a “Koss”?
Koss makes some mighty fine headphones, and it’s based in my hometown of Milwaukee, so let’s not slur the company with the comparison, eh?
Having just read that entire thread on Kos, I can safely say that they need to be subjected to a battery of psychological examinations.
It appears all people over there in their camp like to flame people. Is this was the Democratic Party has devolved into? A group of whiney children?
It’s a sad day in the political world if that is a shining example of Liberal Democrats in action.
Thank you, have a nice day!
Saw that and loved it! Amazing how hard they will try to find errors because their whole system is based on lies and errors! (Lie-n-Hype 9/11!)
I’m surprised their truth squad didn’t pick up on a couple of other things. Arnold said the polls showed opposition to the Iraq war in the run up to the war. I think it was supported, I could be war. Arnold’s Uncle was stopped by Soviet soldiers. When, where and how?
Jabba the nutt is just that – nut. Look up Arnold’s bio please. I’m sure it’s here somewhere on this vast internet of ours. You don’t make shit like that up, trust me. I heard it months ago and his story has never wavered. Of course, he’s only a few years older than I am. It is true he never said “debated” but the race on tv and picked his affiliation based on what both of the men said in their speeches. Maybe Nutt, you were too young to realize what was going on in the rest of the world at the time.
Whiney children? Hell no! GIRLIE MEN!! 🙂 and KOS is always another turn the tables type of girlie-man. 🙂 Never gets it right. But that’s the democrat in him making him nutty.
I watch this on c-span; that way I do not have to put up with journalists, reporters, commercials or anything else. I see it as I hear it and make my own thoughts; no analysis. That’s the only way to see these things and I have not seen one person say anything that was untrue.
Me? Anybody want to know about me? I’ll tell you a story that’ll make you wish you didn’t ask either!
