Problem: Headlines like this – KERRY DRAWS FIRE OVER LACK OF MINORITIES
The Kerry campaign is being called to the carpet for being lily white, whereas the Bush Administration in comparison is a rainbow coalition. Since, as a Democrat, Kerry is assumed to be the minority friendly candidate crew this is a bit of a PR problem. What do they do to deflect the criticism?
Band-Aid Solution: Kerry offers Sharpton forum at convention
Does John Kerry want to lose the election? I suspect that Sharpton would have a similar effect to Pat Buchanan at the ’92 election were he to speak. Of course, the Conventions won’t be televised much, so it may not matter…
Kerry panders again. Is this a surprise to anyone? Sharpton just received what he has been looking for all along: credibility and a spot on the stage at the DNC. Kerry couldn’t invite someone who is viewed as a more derisive person than Sharpton, who is bound to turn away many people in the undecided category. I’m beginning to think the head of Kerry’s election committee is a Republican agent.
