The Bagle-A worm is spreading rapidly today. There is no reason to get this virus if you are up to date on virus signatures and/or e-mail security patches. Outlook users who have a version of Outlook that blocks executable file attachments (added in Office 2000 SP1) you should be safe with or without the latest virus signatures. Outlook Express users need to be at Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (or higher) to have automatic protection – see this page for more details.
If you use some other mail program (or either version of Outlook) just don’t open executable file attachments and keep your anti-virus software up to date…
