This just came across the wires:
Police say they are re-opening an investigation into allegations by a Portland massage therapist that former Vice President Algore groped her at a hotel in 2006.In a brief statement issued Wednesday, the Portland Police Bureau did not say why it was re-opening the investigation. Police had earlier said they consider the case closed because there was no evidence.
Also on Wednesday, a spokeswoman for Gore said the former vice president "unequivocally and emphatically" denies making unwanted sexual advances toward the woman.
A Portland massage therapist accused Gore of "unwanted sexual contact" at a hotel during an October 2006 visit, but no charges were filed due to lack of evidence.
Update: The National Enquirer, the same source that reported on John Edwards' child with Rielle Hunter, says Gore's accuser has a witness, DNA, and video footage that supports her story.

Wonder how Albert's 'chakra' felt when he heard.
Hahahahahaha!!! If Al would keep his urges under control, just maybe the earth would cool a bit.

makes Al look like a bumbling amateur in
the game of romance.

Not sure how a four year-old case against a Democratic public figure will be prosecuted by a Democratic machine in Portland. My guess would be the announcement is designed to take the heat off, all inquiries will be deflected by the "can't comment on an ongoing investigation" dodge for a few months (at least until after the election), and they will quietly let it fade from public consciousness and then drop it like it's hot.

The jury would need some major-league no-doze.

Jim, as eloquently as ever, has made a very astute analysis.
HOWEVER, since this is Portland, home of the alternative and weird universe, and one of their very own, a registered massage therapist working late nights in hotel rooms giving legitimate massages only, has been debased, and THE MAN has worked to suppress this outrage, well, this just might appeal to those who promote alternative green power to the people!
Keep Portland Weird might just be a good slogan after all.

"A witness and video footage?" Say WHAT?? Either the "sex poodle" was unaware or his sublime arrogance caused him to consider these little items unimportant compared to the safety of the planet. Clearly, in Oregon, a truly left wing state, the evidence must be overwhelming for a case to be re-opened against a fellow leftist.
