The problem with the obama story is that it s all too believable. It comes from a regional ally and makes an assertion that is borne out by his subsequent actions. Whether the part of his claiming his muslim heritage is true or not, his attitude toward Israel certainly has been confirmed. The fact that his promised actions have indeed been as promised in this story lends credibility to the part where he is claiming his muslim allegiance.

The Bush story on the other hand suffers from being sourced from a de facto enemy and plays to stereotypes that his detractors promoted. Furthermore it does not have the secondary statement that provides the credibility. It sounds more like a willful mischaracterization of what he may have said.

I agree, this sounds like the usual crap from the lunatic fringe. I hate the Romans Obama as much as anyone but this is entirely too self-serving to ring true.

I wouldn't put it past Obama to think along these lines and I wouldn't be too surprised if we attempt to sell out the Israelis, but this sounds pretty typical as a "rumor" started by some blog to advance the "Obama is a Muslim/Interloper" meme. He's a socialist and an idiot ( I suppose this is redundant...) and he may be more sympathetic to Islam than most Americans, but he's not about to come out as a Muslim.

Frankly I wouldn't put it past obama to say this regardless of whether or not he believed himself to be a muslim simply because he might believe it would gain him some advantage by saying it. It's probably yet another example of a politician trying to say what he believes his audience wants to hear.

Whether the story is true or not true, it sounds like something he would do. We all know how narcissistic he is and don't think for a moment that if he could gain a political advantage with his enemies, he drop that shoe in a heartbeat.

There has been speculation that he is a closet Muslim and he has neither confirmed or denied the statement. But, as Jay says, if he confirms that he is a Muslim, he would be toast in the eyes of the American people and to the Western allies. All I can say is things like this have a tendency to come out in the wash, eventually, as they always do.

If he is the inept fool will stay in the closet.

You know the story about Bush is quite simply unbelievable. Obama's part however almost seems to work but for the fact that he wouldn't dare reveal himself to such a person and endanger his position to do so.

The Lee Ward story, however is completey believable and to tell you the truth, I have had a sneaky feeling about him for a long time now.

Several of the above commenters are either very gullible or liars. Either way, lies and stupidity are the hallmarks of Jay's post, so they fit right in.

Yesterday I got Jay to admit that the only time he's approved of actions Obama has taken as President is when Obama is killing dark-skinned people. My guess is that this is Jay's "payback."

You have to admit that Obama always uses the proper Muslim pronunciation of certain words rather than the American pronunciation.

Jay only cites two instances when Obama's actions met with his approval. (1) when Obama "authorized the Navy to kill those Somali pirates" and (2), "when he uses drones to kill terrorists."

I was of course very surprised that Jay would cite only these two instances, both of which illustrated a deep-seated racial bias. The only time he's approved of Obama's actions is when he's killing dark-skinned people? Seriously?

So I asked Jay to clarify and cite other examples of times he's approved of Obama's actions, and he couldn't.

1) I just noted that Obama has been killing pirates and terrorists. You're the one who's made their race an issue. Are you saying that "pirate" equals "black?" Also, what "race" are the terrorists? They've been black, Arabic, Asian, and possibly even a few white ones. Hell, he's put a death sentence on an American citizen.

B) Obama's done the killing, not me. So shouldn't you be horrified that he's only killed "darkies?" Why hasn't he made sure that our enemies were being killed in a evenhanded, non-discriminatory fashion?

III) You got anything ELSE Obama's done that I might even consider praiseworthy? From my perspective, he's been as lousy a president as you are a blogger. Or, rather, were.
