When a government mandates that one citizen is entitled to the services of another, which is the case with health care in virtually all European countries as well as Canada, it isn't much of a surprise that the people on the receiving end of those services start treating their service providers as quasi-slaves. I'm sure a few Wizbang readers who work in the medical field can tells us stories about how badly some Medicaid/Medicare patients have treated them, although I doubt - I hope - it has never reached the level that compares with what a Dutch home nurse experienced that made the Dutch nurses' union feel they had to launch a nationwide campaign to inform its citizens that sex is not included in standard medical care. Sexual services from home nurses are only included in the premium health care package.
I'm kidding. That's what the country's prostitutes are for. I guess this guy didn't go the prostitution route because he didn't want to shell out the extra cash. Or maybe it's because they don't make house calls.
A union representing Dutch nurses will launch a national campaign Friday against demands for sexual services by patients who claim it should be part of their standard care. The union, NU'91, is calling the campaign "I Draw The Line Here," with an advert that features a young woman covering her face with crossed hands.
The union said in a statement Thursday that the campaign follows a complaint it had received in the last week from a 24-year-old woman who said a 42-year-old disabled man asked her to provide sexual services as part of his care at home.
The young woman witnessed some of the man's other nurses offering him sexual gratification, the union said. When she refused to do the same, he tried to dismiss her on the grounds that she was unfit to provide care.
"This type of action is not part of the job responsibilities of carers and nurses," NU'91 said.
The article states that the other nurses "offered" sexual gratification. Does this exonerate the patient because the other nurses' offers set up the false expectation that sexual gratification was part of this disabled man's treatment? Not as far as I'm concerned. Who knows, maybe those other nurses moonlighted as prostitutes and were just giving the guy a freebie.

No, they were probably billing the government.

Isn't "sexual gratification" covered on page 1423, paragraph M of the Senate bill?

Now wait a darn minute. Do you guys mean to tell me that free sex is NOT included in Obama Care? It was in the House version.
First you tell me I have to pay my own mortgage. Then you tell my I have to buy my own gas. Then you tell me my unemployment is going to run out some day and I'm gonna have to go get a J-O-B. And then you stop giving out deals on used cars.
Now no free sex? What good is this healthcare plan?
Man, that tears it. I might as well vote Republican next time.

When Obamacare comes it will be the administrators that are demanding the sexual favors. Want your child to get that expensive life saving procedure? Expect some government bureaucrat to ask your wife to put out.
