A stunning example of barbarism.
From cbs3.com:
Philadelphia and federal authorities who raided a doctor's office after allegations a woman died following an abortion made a shocking discovery: more than two dozen frozen fetuses.According to the State Board of Medicine, Dr. Gosnell had an unlicensed staff member conduct vaginal exams and administer medication.
In the November 20 case, the state claims the staff member administered Demerol, Promethazine and Diazepam to the female patient.
After the doctor arrived at the clinic, the patient was given more medication. After the doctor performed an abortion, the patient started to have an arrhythmia and later died, state officials said. Autopsy results are pending.
Sources also told Eyewitness News that during the search, investigators recovered more than two dozen fetuses stored in a freezer, some dating back 30 years.
The fetuses are now being analyzed to reveal if illegal late-term abortions may have been performed.
Records indicate that back in 1995, Gosnell was publicly reprimanded by the State Licensing Board which found he ''employed a physician's assistant that was not certified ... saw at least one patient and treated him."
Gosnell's patients, many treated at the office for years, were surprised to learn about the investigation.
"Very good doctor. Very good doctor. I've known him for years from my family," one patient told Eyewitness News.
Attempts to contact Dr. Gosnell at his home, office, by phone, and through an attorney were unsuccessful.
Dr. Gosnell's license has been temporarily suspended. So far, he has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing.
The investigation is ongoing.
What can you really say about something like this?
It speaks for itself.
"Gosnell's patients, many treated at the office for years, were surprised to learn about the investigation."
One can only assume that these "patients," who admit to utilizing this mans services "for years" have had multiple abortions preformed by this man.
Charming.
So far, no "pro-choice" organizations have come out to comment.
For these organizations, who vilify pro-lifers as zealots whose actions they believe would force women to have abortions preformed in some back ally with a rusty coat hanger, you would think they would have some kind of statement condemning the misconduct of this legitimate and licensed abortion doctor.
While the haphazard actions which led to the death of this women are enough to banish this "doctor" from ever again practicing medicine, the disregard for proper disposal of a half dozen fetuses only adds to the bizarre life lead by this soldier of the left.
I can see no medical benefit to keeping pickled fetuses in jars around an abortion clinic.
It sounds like he kept them as "trophies" to show how effective his technical prowess had become.
Just another sick reminder of the brutality of abortion.

Dr. Gosnell practices Obstetrics & Gynecology, I think its a false assumption that all or even most of the patients are there for an abortion.
Keeping frozen fetuses does sound bizaare. I'd like to hear from the doctor why he kept them.
If it is shown that the patient died as a result of a mistake by an un-licensed staff member than the doctor should lose his license.

I think it is a stretch to assume that this doctor's long term patients have all had multiple abortions. A huge leap, in fact. The kind of logical leap I expect from Steve Green and his ilk.
One sentence kills an otherwise OK posting, and damages the credibility of otherwise good points...

Well, was this an abortion specialty clinic or or did He just perform these as a service 2 or 3 times a year out of the kindness of his heart? Seems to me if he is performing these than that is his chosen field of work and the asumption can be made that if they are not there for abortions and follow up "care", why? Drugs?
By the way, they should probably check this wierdo's home residence as he may actually be thawing them out for dinner..

I agree with others: the following assumption appears to be incorrect:
That assumption only works if the clinic only performed abortions, and the article does not say that. In fact, it says the opposite:
At least I hope that the physician's assistant did not attempt to perform an abortion on a male patient.

You need to remember that the abortionist does not feel that these were living human beings, but simply 'unviable tissue'. This turns the fetuses into 'things', which means he can display them, throw them out, or turn them into lampshades (An Ed Gein reference for you), without the slightest feeling of remorse or even a pause to consider the ethics of doing such a thing.

Also, there are stored fetuses in a lot of places. It's ghoulish if you are just some guy carrying a pickled fetus cuz it's cool, but a doctor having one or several at different stages, while unnecessary, wouldn't be that freakish.
Could the doc be a person who is philosophically pro life, but pragmatically willing to offer the service, and might be using the fetuses somewhat as a way to subtly suggest "life" over abortion?

There is no legal reason for him to be storing tissue (even whole bodies of tissue) without a license and a reason, Tina S. Whatever his explanation, it is worthless as he wasn't licensed as a storage or reseach facility. He's toast.

Too many abortions.
Mandatory vasectomies for all young boys approaching puberty.
That way they can decide later if they really want to stay with the woman they impregnate to raise a child.
