This is just breaking from Fox News:
Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. John Murtha, the first veteran of the Vietnam war and one of the most powerful lawmakers in Congress, died Wednesday morning at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, after complications from gallbladder surgery. Murtha was 77.
I'm very sorry for his family's loss. I'm sure they loved him and will miss him.
Jay Tea adds:Kim, thanks for taking the high road. It let me indulge my baser instincts. I'd like to see this article reserved for those who wish to speak well of Murtha. Anyone inclined to say less respectful things, please take it to my posting or keep it to yourself -- not here.

Now that's enough of that. The left dances on graves. We are bigger than that. (No, them doing it doesn't make it ok for us to follow suit.) It's one thing to wish for him to be frog marched into a federal courthouse. It's another to celebrate death, even the death of one such as Murtha.

Certainly this came as a shock to everyone. Gallbladder surgery is usually not a high-risk procedure.
Exit question - with the King of Pork now gone, will we need to re-calculate our projected Federal deficits?

ChiefMinion is right. Regardless of our feelings for an individual, it's the family who loved him that deserves our condolences.
I hope Murtha's family finds the solace they likely need right now.

This reminds me of the Rabbi who had to give the eulogy at the funeral of a wicked man. He refused to say an untruth, but refused to say something bad about the dead person.
Similarly
